The hotel was sold to the Hilton chain in 1971 becoming what was known as the Las Vegas Hilton, later known briefly as the LVH. In 2014, the LVH was sold to Central Florida Investments, Inc, or Westgate Resorts which is the name that the hotel operates under to-date.
Though Elvis really has left the building, Room 1010 at the Hilton Hotel on the Southbank was known as the Elvis Suite because Elvis Presley stayed there on four occasions. Until he died in 1977, no one else could rent the bedroom, which was appointed to his liking, according to Times-Union archives.

On July 31, 1969, Elvis kicked off a seven-year-long residency at the International Hotel, which was later known as the Las Vegas Hilton. At its opening, it was the largest hotel-casino in the world, with over 1,500 rooms and a 1,150-seat showroom.
It was his residency venue for the next seven years, culminating with his final show at the resort in December 1976. Elvis performed 636 sold-out performances at the International Hotel, which became the Hilton before becoming Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino in 2014.

Speaking in an interview over a decade ago, Lisa Marie made clear her intentions to have the mansion passed down to her children. "Graceland was given to me and will always be mine," she told USA Today in 2013. "And then passed to my children. It will never be sold."

In 1973, Presley gave the first concert by a solo artist to be broadcast around the world, Aloha from Hawaii. However, years of prescription drug abuse and unhealthy eating habits severely compromised his health, and Presley died suddenly in 1977 at his Graceland estate at the age of 42.
