In Encanto, Redditor Crateos discovered a WALL-E Easter egg in
One of the guests coming into Casita for Antonio's ceremony is styled similarly to Mama Coco from Coco. She is an older woman with grey hair styled in braids. Her clothing is different colors but in the same fashion as Mama Coco.
Encanto includes at least three hidden Mickeys. The first appears in the middle of the screen as Mirabel sings "Waiting for a Miracle." While she observes her family, three bright specs of light from the Magic Candle form a Mickey icon. The second appears a few seconds later, hidden in the fireworks behind Mirabel.
And finally, when Bruno sings his apology to Pepa about ruining her wedding day, he sings "Let it go," and then the opening notes of "Let It Go" from Frozen can be heard as part of the song. Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who wrote "Let It Go," are even given a credit in the end credits of Encanto.
The ending reveals Mirabel's true gift: the miracle itself. She keeps her family's gifts alive and helps them flourish despite not having tangible powers. When she helps Isabela accept herself, the cracks in Casita heal and her sister discovers new abilities.
Despite being an enigmatic presence for the first half of Encanto, you are able to spot Bruno long before his grand reveal. Like everyone else on the planet right now, he seems to find "We Don't Talk About Bruno" so damn catchy that he emerges from his hiding place to listen.
Though Encanto doesn't have a traditional villain, one theory states Dolores could be the film's secret antagonist. According to the fan theory (via Reddit), Dolores wants her family to lose their powers. After all, the gift of super hearing isn't necessarily as helpful as increased strength or instant plant life.
Encanto comes from the same team as Moana, the 2016 smash; the music in both was written by the Hamilton creator, Lin-Manuel Miranda. As you might expect from Disney, both movies are full of color and life and hope, and both are classically uplifting fables with all the flair and modernity of a Miranda musical.
There's no nudity and sexual activity in Encanto.
“I will never be good enough for you, will I?” ~ Mirabel. Mirabel's deepest wound is that Abuela Madrigal wants her to be someone who she is not. She would love her abuela to love her for who she is but is willing to let go of abuela's approval to be herself.
Abuela is the matriarch of the Madrigal family and has her own special power. Like Mirabel, Abuela wasn't granted a gift by the Encanto, but instead is the holder of power for the entire family. As the keeper of the candle, Abuela oversees the magic of the Encanto and its community.
Encanto 2 has yet to be officially confirmed by Disney, but recent developments at the House of Mouse might have given fans hope that we'll all be talking about Bruno again (if we even stopped). In February 2023, Disney confirmed sequels for Toy Story, Frozen and Zootopia.
Mirabel, at an undefined point in time after the events of the first movie, was told by her abuela Alma, as she was dying, that she was chosen to be the next matriarch of the family, as a thank you for saving the miracle and helping mend the family back together.
Why did Mirabel's door disappear? Mirabel's door disappeared because she was already where she needed to be in order to receive her gift. Remember, Mirabel's gift was keeping the family together through her amazing ability to understand and feel the family's happiness or lack of it.
Señora Pezmuerto is a minor character in Disney's feature film, Encanto. She is part of the townspeople of the Encanto.
After a world premiere November 3, 2021, Encanto was released theatrically on November 24, 2021. After a 30-day run, the film was made available on Disney+ on December 24. If Encanto 2 is officially announced in the next year, fans might expect a release date of at least 2025, due to the demands of production.
2. Bruno is hidden away for the first half of the movie, but he does appear twice before we meet him if you watch very closely. Once in the song (We Don't Talk About Bruno) and again in the background up on the balcony during Dolores's rap verse.
But NothingReallyAndYou reveals that, actually, Mirabel doesn't get a door or a room because the entire Casita is hers. Her gift was the magic in the very walls of the Casita. She is the next caretaker, the leader, the center of the family. Mirabel is the Keeper of the Miracle.
While investigating the damages to the Madrigal's home and magic, Mirabel comes across a very well-kept secret: it turns out that Bruno never went away, he simply moved into the crawlspace behind the walls. He's been living for years with just the rats to keep him company.
While it was implied that Pedro died when the triplets were very young, Bush revealed in a tweet that his loss was more heartbreaking than it seemed on the surface: the day Pedro sacrificed himself to save his family was the very day their triplets were born.
Pepa Madrigal is a major character in Disney's 2021 animated feature film, Encanto. She is the middle child of Alma and Pedro Madrigal and the mother of Dolores, Camilo, and Antonio, whom she parented alongside her husband Félix.
