Lucas' regret is only natural. There is so much he could have done with Star Wars that would have saved it from becoming the child-oriented dross that Disney has made it.
He once said in an interview that they weren't going to use his ideas for the sequel trilogy, but had come up with their own ideas, and he did seem a little bit disappointed or hurt over that. But he has chosen to give up all creative control, and he was VERY handsomely paid to do so.
Between running Lucasfilm, an effects company Industrial Light and Magic (ILM), self-financing the future Star Wars installments to retain creative control, and ensuring that The Empire Strikes Back would be made properly, Lucas knew that he wouldn't be able to give the film the attention it needed.
George Lucas was convinced 'Star Wars' would flop and refused to believe it was a hit until he got a call telling him to turn on the news. "Star Wars" was a huge hit in its opening weekend in May 1977.
Lucas does not earn any royalties from the newer movies or shows as a writer, director, or even creator. However, because of the Disney stock shares he received as part of the transaction, Lucas still sees a hefty payout due to the value of the stocks.
George Lucas says Luke is the most powerful Jedi, supposedly.
Speaking to the New York Times, Lucas said, “I'm doing this so that the films will have a longer life, so that more fans and people can enjoy them in the future.” He said he believed that Disney was the right company to sell the company to, as they had both the resources and the expertise to continue and expand the ...
Originally when Lucas had taken on the Star Wars job, he had planned on making three trilogies. However, other pipe dreams and taking care of his family came first (and we totally understand him on that one) and he decided to sell Lucasfilm to Disney as the brand new owners.
George Lucas' Favorite Character
It may be surprising to some fans, but Lucas' favorite character from the Star Wars franchise is, in fact, Jar Jar Binks. Jar Jar is the childish comic relief character introduced in 1999's The Phantom Menace, and has a terrible reputation among most fans of the series.
Lucas may have been the one to come up with the idea of a resurrected Palpatine, but he clearly had no interest in using the idea himself. It never figured in any of his plans for the sequel trilogy (indeed - had it done so, he'd probably have refused to give consent).
In an event where George Lucas and Hayden Christensen interviewed each other and answered fan queries, Lucas explained that the reason why Anakin's Force Ghost is young is that he metaphorically died after becoming Vader — an idea reinforced by Darth Vader himself during Obi-Wan Kenobi.

I know some fans would love nothing more than for Disney to sell Star Wars back to George Lucas, but that's just not going to happen.
Master Yoda has risen above all others to claim the top spot as the most powerful Jedi of all time and the true chosen one according to IGN's audience. He won pretty handily as well, as he was victorious in 89,756 of his 95,243 battles and had a win percentage of 94.2%.
While little is known about Yoda's species, we do know, however, that their entire race is incredibly gifted in the force. Both Jedi Master Yaddle, and now Grogu hold great force powers, but no Jedi Master has ever held greater power than Jedi Master Yoda.
