Compensation will not affect your ability to meet access to the NDIS.
How much funding will I receive from the NDIS scheme? Your eligibility to receive funding is not affected by your income or your assets, but there are some requirements to determine if you will receive funding.
Access to the NDIS is not means-tested and has no impact on any Centrelink financial supports, such as the disability support pension and carers allowance.
Will my NDIS funding be reduced if I receive Centrelink payments? No. NDIS funding is not means-tested and does not depend on your income or assets. Receiving Centrelink payments will not impact your ability to qualify for NDIS funding support.
To join the NDIS you need to meet access requirements
This includes the Scheme being available in your area, your age, your residency status and the nature of your disability.
If you're not eligible, you can't become an NDIS participant. We'll try and contact you by phone, or your preferred contact method, to explain why you're not eligible. We will give you reasons for our decision, and also answer any questions you might have.
The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) estimates that 89% of people with disability will not be eligible for the NDIS. There are two main reasons people under 65 will be rejected from the Scheme: either their disability is deemed not permanent or not significant.
If you earn more than the cut off point, you will receive $0 for that fortnight. For example, a single person over 21 years old may earn up to $180 per fortnight and get the full pension. However, if they earn over $180 per fortnight, their pension will reduce by 50 cents for each dollar over $180.

Yet the average plan budget for people in supported independent living also fell 1.6 per cent, from $351,600 in 2020 to $346,100 in 2021.
The NDIS is not designed to fund supports more appropriately funded or provided by the health system. Assessment, diagnosis and treatment of health conditions, along with medications and hospital care, remain the responsibility of the health system.
The kinds of support the NDIS might fund include: support for daily personal activities and household tasks. transport to enable someone to participate in the community, social activities, work or education.
You'll leave the NDIS if you move into a residential aged care service permanently for the first time after you turn 65. When we say residential aged care services, we mean services funded by the Department of Health's Aged Care system.
Can you keep the NDIS after you turn 65? If you started receiving NDIS supports before you turned 65, you can continue to receive services even after you've aged past 65. You can choose whether you want to continue to receive NDIS supports, or whether you'd like to access support through the Commonwealth aged system.
The NDIS funds several critical services for people with anxiety. These include personal care support, community access support, nutritional support, skill development, transport, household tasks and behavioural support.

Whilst a diagnosis of Autism at any level can meet the NDIS access criteria, the NDIA has indicated that Level 2 and Level 3 meet immediate eligibility.

Am I eligible for DES? You might be eligible for DES if you're: living with a mental health condition, treated illness, injury or disability that makes it difficult to find and keep a job.
2. The NDIS won't cover most day–to–day living costs. Most general day–to–day costs aren't covered by the NDIS. Things like groceries, phone bills, event tickets and general living expenses aren't covered by the NDIS.
The government is looking to lift employment for NDIS participants to 30 per cent by June next year. But in the latest report to disability ministers, the NDIS is reporting only 23 per cent of working-age participants are in employment and the participation level for adults is declining.
