This isn't the first time Bluey has featured a character with disability. Jack, one of Bluey's school mates, is portrayed as having attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
I like Bluey because she's one of the ADHD icons in the show (obv along with Jack haha) - she has a lot of impulses and doesn't realize the things she does are usually not a good decision.
Despite her name, she is not autistic, her name being a direct result of poor treatment by lab scientists.
Bluey Season 2, Episode 16 | Army.
The already iconic family series debuted a new character named Dougie, another little pup who loves the playground. What makes Dougie distinct is the character is deaf, and is depicted as using Auslan to communicate with his mum.

Throughout the episode Onesies, it is heavily implied that Brandy has fertility problems, meaning that she may not be able to have children of her own, which may have caused her and Chilli's argument prior to Bluey's Big Play.

bluey theories | TikTok. 1 of the most popular Bluey theories I see float around is that bingo has Celiacs disease. so this theory comes from two different episodes of Bluey. the first is where Bingo's in the hospital but we never really find out why.
1) Calvin (Calvin and Hobbes)
Bluey has ADHD. And she cannot focus long enough on a task to be able to play a game with her family. The game they want to play is hide and seek, but Bluey loses her focus and ends up getting sidetracked by another toy.
Newcomer Dougie, based on a cavoodle, is profoundly deaf and uses Auslan to communicate with his mum (voiced by Miranda Tapsell).
Their number one reason is that the episodes are short. Children have very short attention spans, and the lengths of the episodes are perfect for keeping their attention. They are also easier for children to follow and understand, so their interest is not lost as quickly.
Certain breeds such as Dobermans, Bull Terriers, and German Shepherds have been shown to have a genetic link to this condition, but like ADHD, these symptoms could also be triggered by a lack of physical activity, anxiety, and frustration from their owner's lack of attention.
Mabel Pines (Gravity Falls)
Speaking of Gravity Falls, Mabel is all that is shiny and colorful and good about ADHD.
They make socialising easier. Dogs are good for children with ADHD and autism as sometimes it's just their presence that's needed to make everything okay. Children with autism, ADHD, or ADD can find socialising difficult, especially if they already feel isolated by their condition.
But on the theme of “representation matters,” it sort of feels like the more we say about this, the better. Chilli Heeler had a miscarriage. The mom from the incredibly popular kids TV show “Bluey” lost a pregnancy.
The ABC pulled Bluey episodes Teasing and Flat Pack over 'racial connotations'. Here's why. Two episodes of the Emmy-award-winning children's show Bluey have been pulled from ABC streaming platform iview after a viewer complained an episode contained a term with "racial connotations".

Even though Bluey is blue, Bluey is a girl. That's because Bluey and Bandit are Blue Heeler dogs, so she looks like her dad. Bingo and Chilli, meanwhile, are the Red Heeler breed, so their fur is cream, orange and reddish-brown.
Socks has a perminate disease that can't be cured that messes with how she walks and talks. Socks is too young to know how to walk and talk. Socks is not actually a member of there family. She is just a pet.
Do dogs have ADHD? Hyperactivity, impulsive behavior and inattention are more likely to occur in younger and male pets of certain breeds, including Jack Russell Terrier and German Shepherd, study says.
The episode was apparently censored by Disney because it included an open discussion of farting. Now, according to the website Fatherly, an episode from season two entitled “Dad Baby” appears to still be banned on the streamer.
After a miscarriage, Chilli became pregnant again, later giving birth to Bluey.
Judo's Parents Are Divorced
Judo, Bluey's "other neighbor," is a secondary character. However, fans still notice that while we see Judo's mom, there's no sight of her having another parent.
