Season(s) Geneva Dunsany was the daughter of Lord and Lady Dunsany, who reside at the Helwater estate. She blackmailed Jamie Fraser into a one-night stand, which resulted in their illegitimate child, William Ransom.
While Claire was ill Malva did make attempts to offer 'comfort' to Jamie but it was refused. At Allan's prodding Malva made the dramatic claim in front of her father and Claire that Jamie was the father of her baby.
Jamie denies having slept with her, but the damage to his and to Claire's reputation is done—and the bond between the Frasers and Malva is severed, until just a few weeks later, when Claire finds Malva murdered in the garden.
Fans of the novels by Diana Gabaldon will know Jamie is not the father of Malva's baby but it's someone much closer to home. Allan (Alexander Vlahos) is the father of Malva's child and had been abusing his sibling for many months and when she felt guilty about her lies, he decides to silence her.
When Jamie's negotiations with the governor for Claire's freedom fail, Tom Christie confesses to Malva's murder. In November 1776, Allan comes to Malva's grave and confesses to Claire about raping his sister, that he was the father of Malva's child, and that he killed her because she was going to tell the truth.
Malva, before her death, tells him that she made them sick. She'd collected parts of the dead Sin Eater and poisoned Claire and Tom. She wanted to get to Jamie, and getting Claire out of the way was the only way to do that.
Claire eventually realizes that Malva is lying because she knows her husband well enough. Tom seems to question Malva's story. You can see it in his face that he's trying to figure out if this story is true. And then there are the reactions at the funeral when Allan refuses to let Claire carry the baby's coffin out.
Director Brendan Maher told Vulture that while both Menzies and Heughan had stunt doubles for the physically demanding sequence, neither used them much. “We had people for safety, just in case, but the nature of the work is that you want the actors to do as much as they possibly can,” Maher said.
After sexually abusing her for years, Malva becomes pregnant with Allan's child and he convinces her to claim Jamie as the father in order to save himself.
Jamie marries Claire to keep her from falling into the hands of the evil Captain "Black Jack" Randall. They have one child, Faith, who doesn't survive birth; an adopted son named Fergus; and a daughter, Brianna. Jamie has a son named William Ransom with Geneva Dunsany, who died during William's birth.
Season 4, Episode 9 “The Birds and The Bees” – Part 1
This is without a doubt, the best Jamie dad moment in the series — the moment he meets his and Claire's daughter, Brianna. It's one of those scenes that even if your heart is made of ice, it will melt. And you will cry. Go on watch it, try not to cry.
He had left it too late, though – driving a commissary wagon, he was waylaid by a government troop of Campbells, and they arrested him. Tom was first sent to Berwick Prison, then transferred to Ardsmuir Prison in 1752.
Claire gives him a beautiful, tender answer: she shares his regret, but regret is not enough. And together they make the decision to give the baby to Lucinda, a young mother who lost her own baby at birth, and has both love and milk in abundance.
And then Malva drops the bomb, stunning everyone by declaring that Jamie is the father of her unborn baby. He didn't rape her, she stresses, knowing that that would never be believed, but claims the pair became intimate while he was emotional during Claire's illness.
Among these is one moment in season three when Jamie Fraser (played by Sam Heughan) slept with Mary McNab (Emma Campbell-Jones). The scene took place after Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe) returned to the future shortly before the Battle of Culloden after Jamie feared for the safety of his wife and their unborn child.
During his time apart from Claire, Jamie slept with several women, including Mary McNab (Emma Campbell-Jones) and Geneva Dunsany (Hannah James). And of course, there was Laoghaire MacKenzie (Nell Hudson) as well who had her sights on Jamie since season one.
Over the course of the first season, Claire and Jamie fell in love and married while Frank was back in the 20th Century. It quickly became clear Jamie's ghost was trying to find his beloved which is probably why he was watching Claire.
This is dysentery. Claire tells everyone that a contaminated water source most likely caused it, but after funeral upon funeral — the body count is high! — no one can seem to figure it out. And then Claire falls ill.
Malva was first introduced at the beginning of the season as a new resident of the Ridge who admired Claire's medical skills. Behind her admiration was a darker side of blackmail, betraying Claire's trust, and stalking. She falsely claimed Jamie was the father of her unborn child.

Tom and Claire unexpectedly meet each other with the preacher questioning whether Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) was aware of his feelings. In the book, Claire confirms Jamie is well aware of Tom's unrequited feelings towards her and understands them as someone who is in love with her.
