Claire, Jamie and Young Ian return from America to visit, just in time to be with him as he dies, and Jenny whoops and sheds tears at seeing her son again after so long. Claire tells the entire family her true identity of being a time-traveller from the future, but Jenny still views her as a 'witch' or 'faery-woman'.
Brianna makes it to Lallybroch, where there's plenty of drama in Outlander Book 4, Chapter 34. It is a great chapter for the book. Brianna doesn't just meet Jenny and Ian (and her cousins), but she also very quickly meets the woman who almost got her mother killed.
Dougal kept a close eye on the two women during their time at Castle Leoch. On whether he thought Claire and Geillis were time travellers, actor Graham, 61, explained: “Yes, I do.”
Although Claire couldn't exactly tell her the truth, Jenny's feelings are as justified as she said she would have liked to have known she was alive. Jenny also adds that she knew Claire was hiding something from her ("First Wife"). It will be another 10 years after this before Claire tells the Murrays the truth.
Fergus apparently knows Claire is a time traveler in Outlander. Diana Gabaldon mentions now and then on social media that Fergus knows Claire is a time traveler. This is something that happens off-book in the series. Fergus and Marsali have both learned the truth, which is important for later books.
For now, though, it appears both Fergus and Marsali aren't time travellers with actors Lyle and Domboy addressing this in an Instagram live Q&A from earlier this year.
Jamie also has two stepdaughters, Marsali MacKimmie Fraser and Joan MacKimmie, from his marriage to his second wife, Laoghaire MacKenzie.
Since there is a price on Jamie's head, he, his sister Jenny, and his brother-in-law Ian concoct a scheme wherein she "turns him in" to the British, as he is wanted for the crime of treason for the part he had played in Bonnie Prince Charlie's attempted Scottish uprising.
Author Diana Gabaldon, who wrote the book series upon which the Starz TV show is based, has confirmed that it is Jamie's ghost that Frank saw, but she's also stated repeatedly that Jamie cannot travel forward in time.
Jenny gives Claire a knife and a bag of coins; Claire tells her to plant potatoes because there's going to be a famine in a few years.
For instance, Lord John Grey learns the truth about Claire, Brianna, and Roger... though he has a hard time believing it. And speaking of Roger and Brianna, they get into their own time-travel trouble — Roger with his ancestor Buck and Brianna with Rob Cameron.
In the first season, Dougal picked Jamie to marry Claire so that the British army could not lay hands on her.
Claire visits Faith's grave, where she leaves a single pink tulip from Jared's conservatory, and is surprised at how emotional she feels after all this time.
It's mostly due to Laura Donnelly not being able to return to the show. Laura has said in the past that she's not that interested in coming back. While the fourth season filmed, things had to be reworked in the story. We were supposed to see Jenny back, but Laura Donnelly wasn't available.
She is married to Ian Murray and together they have seven children.
Without giving too many spoilers for those who haven't read the books yet, there is a storyline in Lallybroch but it's not Claire and Jamie returning there to call it home. They do remain in the colonies. It is going to be interesting to see how the series handles the storylines to come.
Diana Gabaldon has confirmed there is no possibility that Jamie Fraser will time-travel into the future and live out his life at Lallybroch.
When Jemmy holds the stone, it feels incredibly hot. It's so hot, it breaks in his hands. The stone is hot to the touch for Claire, Bree, and Roger, too.
"The ghost is Jamie–but as for how it fits into the story, All Will Be Explained—in the last book," Gabaldon writes in the FAQ section of her website. She's also revealed that the Outlander series will likely have ten books total, and the ninth, Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone, debuted in 2021.
Many fans have been wondering why Jamie would even consider marrying Laoghaire in the first place. Part of the reason Jenny urged Jamie to re-marry was to try and give him some happiness after Claire left a gaping hole in his heart.
He was killed at the Battle of Culloden. They were married for a year, and had no children.
The mysterious Master Raymond is a "prehistoric time traveler." Not much is known about him, but he is thought to be a common ancestor of both Claire Fraser and Geillis Duncan.
Following the Battle of Culloden, Fergus continues to live at Lallybroch, and Jenny Murray tutors him with the rest of her children. He sometimes brings food to Jamie, who lives in a cave near the estate.
Marsali however took to each trial courageously and saw a future away from Fraser's Ridge. In the fifth episode, she decided it was best to move her family to New Bern for a fresh start and to keep Fergus far from its negativity.
The simple answer is no. Claire and Jamie don't have any more children after Brianna. Claire heads through the stones while pregnant with Brianna at the end of the second season/book.
