Kylo Ren's Vision Reveals He Didn't Want to Kill Han Solo
While Luke's trial acted as a dark premonition of the ultimate reveal that Darth Vader was his father, Kylo Ren's shows that the young Sith apprentice still had some good in him.
Kylo Ren : What do you think you'll see if I do? Han Solo : The face of my son. Kylo Ren : Your son is gone. He was weak and foolish like his father, so I destroyed him.
Kylo then had a vision of Han Solo. He tried to dismiss his father as a mere memory, once again telling him his son was dead. But Han replied that Kylo Ren was dead; his son was alive.
Although a grown man, he throws destructive temper tantrums. Many mental health practitioners like Adam Smith (The Cantina Cast episode 115) suggest that he may have borderline personality disorder, that chaotic condition defined by poorly formed personality with erratic, unstable traits.
Much like his grandfather, Kylo Ren likely suffers from a borderline personality disorder. Anakin Skywalker's difficulty controlling his anger, impulsivity, unstableness, and his identity disturbance were among the factors that led French psychologist Dr. Eric Bui to conclude that he suffered from such a disorder.
The first and most famous is that he wanted to kill the character off because he was tired of playing the character.
The bolt didn't kill Kylo Ren because it wasn't a fatal shot - that is, it hit Kylo Ren in a place that would wound and not kill quickly. That shot hit him in the hip. That's muscle and bone, with no vital organs hit.
By hitting himself in the wound, Kylo was accentuating the pain and using the pain to focus himself; using the adrenalin/endorphin rush to make himself stronger; feeding off of the anger caused by the pain and bringing the Dark Side to bear more strongly against his opponents.
According to ComicBook.com, the novel reveals that Ben had some final words for Rey in one of the film's last scenes. “A voice came to her through the Force, clear and strong. 'I will always be with you,' Ben said.
And just like Anakin, Ben may have grown to hate Han for what he thought was a betrayal, and became so incensed against him that he was willing to kill him.
It is revealed that Ren is the son of Han and Leia, originally named Ben, and was once one of Luke's Jedi pupils. He was corrupted to the dark side of the Force by the First Order's Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis), and helped destroy Luke's new Jedi Academy.
Al Pacino reveals he turned down 'Star Wars' role of Han Solo: 'I gave Harrison Ford a career'
Even though Kylo Ren uses a red lightsaber, harnesses the dark side of the Force, and wears a cape, he is not a Sith. Because of that, he can never hold the title of Darth.
Still, there's a legitimate theory on YouTube that proposes Kylo didn't die after all. Thanks to an ancient Sith Force technique, he might have survived and the Skywalker bloodline with him. Ever since the first Star Wars movie debuted, every new film has tried to be bigger and better than the last.
Han dying at his son's hands after reaching out with open arms was already tragic and was made even more heartbreaking as Chewbacca, Rey, and Finn witnessed it happen. Leia also sensed this devastating loss through the Force.
In "The Empire Strikes Back," Darth Vader stops Boba Fett from shooting Chewbacca because he has plans for the Wookiee.
Based on Wookiee customs, Chewbacca could not seek comfort from others yet, but he could still work to save others. As the theory explains, Wookiee culture dictates that when Wookiees lose a loved one, they are not supposed to touch anyone until they have had time to grieve in private.
2) Who is the only non Jedi in the original Star Wars trilogy to use a lightsaber? Han Solo uses Luke's lightsaber to cut open the tauntaun's belly in The Empire Strikes Back.
Thought dead, Darth Maul survived his injuries by focusing on his hatred of Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Jedi who cut him in half. His shattered body was dumped amid the refuse of the junk planet Lotho Minor, where the once deadly warrior fell into madness, staying alive on a diet of vermin.
The ending of RoS looks like an attempt at compromise. Kylo Ren turns good and Rey gives him a kiss, but he still dies in saving her. This sacrifice is very similar to Vader's end in the original trilogy, and it's typical of villains who are redeemed after crossing the moral event horizon.
The question of why Leia's body only disappears after Ben Solo's death has a few potential answers, but it boils down to Leia's own journey as a Jedi. Her character can be considered one of the most important of the sequel trilogy. Her arc has always been inherently tied with that of her son.
She does not have a baby bump, her hand never goes to her stomach to indicate she's carrying a child, and there wasn't exactly any time for her to have conceived a child with anyone in the course of the film, including Kylo Ren/Ben Solo.
This is his nephew, his family. His prized pupil. Luke loved Ben Solo. To say that Luke was afraid to face Kylo Ren because Kylo might kill him would be like saying that Obi-Wan preferred to face Palpatine than fighting Anakin because Anakin might kill him.
