Fiona was forced to grow up and become a maternal figure as a child. She never got to experience being a fun-loving, carefree teen and young adult. Unfortunately, she turns to drugs and alcohol to cope. We see Fiona at her breaking point, and her life spirals out of control.
Lip was always especially critical of Fiona's parenting skills, and, when she made a mistake that sent Liam to the emergency room in season 4's "Iron City," Lip lost all faith in her ability to watch over his siblings and never truly forgave her.
Depression (Portrayed by Fiona Gallagher)
Many people with depression also have symptoms of anxiety.
Widely considered the worst character on Shameless, Frank did some awful things during his arc on the show, but there were several other characters who were just as bad, if not worse.
In Shameless Season 9, Episode 14, titled "Found," Fiona found herself with $100,000 after the zoning on the abandoned lot she invested in finally went through. In the episode, a former business partner visited Fiona in her gas station job and offered her the money to buy her out of her share.
Some would go into therapy. But Fiona is acting out and showing her aggression. She gets herself an emotional breakup haircut—some of it dyed blue—and a tattoo that says “Warrior.” Word is, you went to the writers and requested this no-more-men thing.
Veronica is shown to not be on good terms with Fiona as the latter is distant and she believes she only needs her family. However, she feels scared as Yev and is put off by Svetlana's revelation that he is really her husband.
Other clues in the show indicate that Fiona is actually around five years older than Lip, not three. Related: Will Shameless Season 12 Ever Happen?
At Youens' funeral, Lip learns that he wasn't the only special student in the professor's life. Hurt by the realization, Lip returns to the teacher's apartment to find a letter that outlines exactly how much Lip meant to the man.
The money gave her an opportunity to finally do something for herself, and in the Season 9 finale, she left half the money for Debbie and took the rest with her. Shameless never revealed where Fiona went, but she was mentioned a few times in the series after her exit.
Fiona struggles with work at Patsy's Pies after being promoted to assistant manager. Though she is still married to Gus, Fiona has begun a sexual relationship with Sean. When Fiona unexpectedly finds out she is pregnant (and does not know who the father is), she ultimately decides to get an abortion.
This culminates in Lip relapsing back to alcohol, and when he drunkenly attacks Charlie, Sierra breaks up with him, not wanting her son to deal with two addicts.
This is due to Jeffrey Dean Morgan's inability to reprise his role as Charlie Peters, the restaurant manager in recovery. The role was not just recast but renamed and relocated for Dermot Mulroney to play Sean Pierce.
Jasmine also had a secret crush on Fiona and kissed her at that same party. She explained that she contacted Jimmy about the party to try to get them back together, but, if Jasmine cared about Fiona or wanted to be with her, she shouldn't have invited him.
Craig made a move and they had a one-night stand, but he was initially thrown off by Fiona's emotional indifference the next morning, as she was still heartbroken over Steve. Later, Fiona discovered that she was pregnant with Craig's baby.

At the end of Shameless, Lip has decided to sell the Gallagher house for a mere $75,000 — a far cry from the $250,000 he was offered by a developer before he pushed too hard and lost that deal. He is still stuck on the poverty line, working a food delivery job to support his girlfriend Tami and their son Freddie.
During the series finale, Debbie starts a somewhat relationship with Heidi, an ex-con who takes Debbie along on a day filled with smashing car windows, selling stolen vehicles, and more. In the end, Heidi invites Debbie to join her in Texas, and to bring Franny with her.
Fiona reluctantly gave in but then she learned that she had to pony up another $25,000 to the Sunset Brook project at a meeting with Max Whitford and the other investors. That's on top of the $100K she already invested. So she wanted out of the lease she and Ford signed and the mold thing was the excuse she gave him.
Lip Gallagher is by far the smartest and most naturally gifted of all the Gallagher children, but is still just as troubled as the rest.
Debbie Gallagher
As manipulative as they come, Debbie (Emma Kenney) has got to be the most unlikable character on the entire show. Perhaps it all stems from the point where she shows no atom of gratefulness to Fiona for all she does for the family.
Every character in Shameless had their own personal tragedy, but Lip might be the most.
