McDonald's has been ramping up its plant-based options over the last few years. In May 2022, McDonald's officially added a dairy-free McFlurry to its growing list of vegan menu options.

The new vegan option—which can be ordered in select stores using the app—consists of strawberry sorbet, according to Peta Zwei. It can be topped with Oreo pieces, which are also vegan. The sorbet can also be ordered as a McSundae. Last year, McDonald's Germany launched the Big Vegan TS.
Avoid the oatmeal, too. It's made with light cream. The one vegan option in the A.M. is a plain English muffin.
McDonald's Apple Pies are made with ingredients that are suitable for vegetarians (i.e. contain no ingredients of animal origin) and they are cooked in dedicated frying vats using a non hydrogenated blend of rapeseed and sunflower oil (100% vegetable oil).

Besides the potatoes and salt for flavoring, the cooking involves vegetable oils like corn, soybean, and canola. They also have chemical preservatives and natural beef additives from milk and wheat.
All the ingredients in the new Veggie Happy Meal Wrap and the Spicy Veggie Wrap are dairy free and vegan.
Are McDonald's Fries Vegan? Unfortunately no, if you are in any of the McDonald's locations except the UK and India, your fries are not vegan. Especially in the US, they contain 'natural beef flavor' and milk (included in the natural flavor).
McPlant Nuggets – made from peas, corn and wheat with a tempura batter – are the second product McDonald's has co-developed with Beyond Meat, an El Segundo, California-based maker of plant-based meats. McDonald's has been selling a McPlant burger since 2021.

KFC Australia has launched its first ever plant-based option — Wicked Popcorn. The meat-free bites are made with pea protein and feature the same spice mix as the chain's Wicked Wings. Wicked Popcorn is available in a box, a bowl, or as a Combo option with fries and a drink.

Fruit & Maple Oatmeal (made with water, no cream), a coffee (without milk or cream), and a side of apple slices. A toasted English muffin with margarine*, jelly*, or maple syrup* with a side of apple slices and an orange or apple juice.
But are the chips in KFC vegan? Unfortunately, KFC chips aren't vegan. They're cooked in the same oil as some of the chicken fryers, preventing them from being vegan; this is why the KFC vegan meal is only a burger and a drink.
