Microdermabrasion offers deep exfoliation that makes the skin look younger and thicker. These treatments can help offset the appearance of nasolabial folds, but they will not remove the folds.
Skin-tightening procedures: Treatments with lasers, ultrasound or radio waves can help stimulate collagen production and make loose skin tauter. Surgery: Cosmetic surgery can reposition and reshape your skin and underlying tissues. Options to reduce nasolabial folds include a cheek lift or a facelift.
If your marionette lines and nasolabial folds are still relatively superficial, microneedling can also provide excellent results. This collagen-induction treatment uses tiny needles to create microscopic punctures in your skin.
Skin Exfoliation
You should also exfoliate the laugh lines and the area around the lips. It will help remove dead skin cells, make a face look bland and accentuate fine lines' appearance. You can use any scrub you want on your face as long as it contains natural exfoliating particles like salt or sugar crystals.
Answer: Considering options. Botox is not helpful for nasolabial folds. If you are not wanting filler you can consider treatments such as FaceTite or Morpheus8. This will help promote collagen production, tighten skin, and improve tone and texture.
Age, sun damage, and smoking are the biggest culprits of deepening nasolabial folds. The sun's ultraviolet (UV) rays break down the collagen and elastin fibers in your skin that keep it smooth and supported. Smoking also breaks down these fibers.
Dermal Filler
Perhaps the most popular treatment for nasolabial fold concerns, hyaluronic acid (HA)-based dermal filler, like Juvéderm®, Restylane®, and Belotero®, can be artfully injected to lift and smooth the creases without simply plumping up the lines themselves.
The most common types of fillers for nasolabial folds contain hyaluronic acid. This clear substance is naturally produced in the skin and helps with firmness and hydration. The following hyaluronic acid fillers are approved for the treatment of nasolabial folds: Bellafill.
Massaging improves skin structure and reduces “sagging”
The area of greatest benefit is the nasolabial folds – or, as many of us refer to them, “smile lines.” Massaging causes the cheek tissues to thicken and the skin around the jaw to tighten and move upward. In turn, this helps reduce the appearance of smile lines!
25-35 years old:
Fine lines around the eyes, crow's feet, expression lines, and nasolabial folds start to appear as age increases. Skin begins to sag.
A: A chemical peel improves the texture of the skin and fine lines and wrinkles. It does not help the heavier folds around the mouth, known as nasolabial folds. These particular folds are best treated by Juvederm.
If you want to postpone the onset of nasolabial folds, you may find periodic chemical peel treatments a worthwhile solution.
Anything that supports collagen production can improve the appearance of laugh lines by thickening and strengthening skin, and minimizing wrinkles. Simple ways to keep the skin resistant to nasolabial formation include: Using moisturizing skincare products that stimulate collagen, such as hyaluronic acid.
If this is your preferred sleeping position, try positioning your head on the pillow so that the lower half of your face, (below the nose), doesn't touch the pillow. This helps to prevent the nasolabial fold, or those lines that run from the nostril to the outer corners of the mouth, from developing.

Juvederm Vollure is a hyaluronic acid facial filler, specifically designed for the nasolabial folds and for the parenthesis around the mouth. This is the longest lasting dermal filler on the market for the mid-face, lasting up to 18 months.
Placing injectable fillers in the cheeks is very effective at improving the fullness of the cheeks, particularly in patients who feel that they have “lost” their cheekbones with aging or weight loss. But it doesn't actually fill in the nasolabial folds.
Weight gain – As much as weight loss or loss of fat contributes to the nasolabial folds, so does weight gain. Fluctuations in weight can also lead to wrinkles since weight loss leads to sagging while weight gain enhances the folds' appearance as the cheeks get plumper.
Answer: Botox injection and nasolabial folds
However, if filler was misplaced into the lateral aspect of the nasolabial fold or the crow's feet were injected with Botox to low on the face, it is possible to see worsening of the nasolabial fold. Your lips appear somewhat full for 2 weeks post procedure.
The naso-labial folds from the corner of the nose to mouth are often treated with 0.5ml per side, so often 1ml will be required. The naso-labial folds can also be reduced by placing dermal filler in the cheek area to lift the cheek and reduce the fold.
