The Harry Potter books never said outright that Neville had issues with executive functioning , motor skills or learning. But to me, it felt like he did. So many of the difficulties Neville faced seemed taken directly from my own life and experiences with LD-NOS. Like Neville, I struggled both in and out of school.
Alastor Moody's dangerous job as an Auror led to his physical disabilities. Warner Bros. Most "Harry Potter" fans would probably point to Alastor Moody, Peter Pettigrew, and Remus Lupin as examples of characters living with chronic health issues or disabilities in the Wizarding World.
Disability in Canon
As Harry never has classes with him, the only time we actually “see” him is in the non-canon game Hogwarts Mystery, which takes place in the 1980s, and in which he has a wooden leg and one of his hands is replaced with a pincer.
His loyalty. One other excellent thing about Neville was his loyalty. Despite being a pure-blood who would be accepted in Voldemort's new world, he was never tempted to do anything other than the right thing. He showed loyalty to his friends, his school and also his parents.
Despite being afraid, despite knowing he'd almost certainly be facing Death Eaters of the kind that tortured his parents – Neville was determined to fight. And once there, he fought valiantly beside his friends – loyal and brave as Godric Gryffindor himself.
And this is why Hermione does not fit into Ravenclaw, since she lacks their creativity of thought. When you also add in her fearlessness and her strong convictions about right and wrong, which are inherently Gryffindor traits, then there was even less of a chance she'd end up wearing blue and bronze.
In the end, both were essential to Voldemort's downfall, fulfilling the possibility that both Harry and Neville were, in fact, the Chosen One. While Harry delivered the final blow to destroy Voldemort, Neville destroyed the final Horcrux which allowed Harry to end Voldemort.
However, Voldemort chose Harry as his target, who was, like himself, a half-blood, rather than the pure-blooded boy named Neville. Voldemort chose Harry as he believed Harry was the most danger to him and he saw himself in Harry before even seeing him.
While most fans agree that Harry is the unrefuted Chosen One, the final Deathly Hallows film (in particular) sways heavily toward highlighting a heroic Neville, revitalizing the debate regarding which boy is better suited for the iconic title.
Emma Watson, Actress
She was also diagnosed with combined/hyperactive type ADHD. While Emma hasn't spoken openly about the condition, ADHD Foundation said in a Facebook post that she had been diagnosed and medicated since childhood while filming the Harry Potter series.
The 'Inner Eye' is often said to be a rare and much sought-after skill in the wizarding world, with many in the community looking to Seers to find the answers in life.
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, via Hermione (of course)
One big clue about Hermione's possible bout with OCD is her struggle with time management.
Ron has no other signs of a mental disorder with his fear of spiders. It seems like the phobia is the only thing that is causing problems to come about in his life. He is actually quite open about his fear of spiders and it is often mentioned in the books to release tension during difficult and dramatic times.
Ron doesn't canonically have bipolar disorder, but if you want him to, the world is your oyster. What he does have is low self-esteem (more like no self-esteem) and depression.
Patients often see multiple doctors before they get their headaches diagnosed – and Harry Potter, it turns out, is no exception. Back in 2007 a leading headache specialist, after poring through Harry's headache history, concluded that the boy's intermittent stabbing head pain must be due to migraines.
Tom Marvolo Riddle, their son, was born on 31 December 1926 Merope died in childbirth, leaving the baby to grow up alone in an orphanage. In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, it is revealed that Voldemort murdered his father and grandparents, leaving himself the only surviving member of the Riddle family.
Voldemort intentionally made six Horcruxes, but when he used Avada Kedavra on Harry, he unintentionally created a seventh Horcrux. Instead of dying, Lily's love for Harry created a counter 'curse' known as Sacrificial Protection and saved Harry.
Voldemort wasn't aware of Harry being a pseudo-horcrux because he didn't plan it, and Harry didn't know either until Voldemort “killed” him, but he actually killed the piece of soul kept in him.
Ultimately, Dumbledore's death at Snape's hands was a win for everyone involved. The headmaster got the respectful death he wanted, Snape was able to prove his loyalty to the Death Eaters, and Malfoy was saved from Voldemort's wrath.
He finds out for sure immediately after Nagini's attack on Arthur Weasley. This night is significant in many ways. While Harry sleeps, he enters Nagini's mind.
Harry is the Heir of Slytherin (through his mother's side) and also related to Gryffindor (through his father's side) though the current Heir of Gryffindor is Neville.
Moaning Myrtle
Born in the late 1920s to Muggle parents, Myrtle Warren started her Hogwarts life in the early 1940s, where she was sorted into Ravenclaw. She had no friends, and was bullied relentlessly because of her glasses and acne. But she would soon have all of eternity to get her own back.
Even J.K. Rowling says that Hufflepuff is her favorite House. It's produced the fewest Dark wizards of all four Houses. Hufflepuffs are down-to-earth. Literally, their House colors represent wheat and dirt, symbolizing their humility (rather than the precious metal secondary colors of the other Houses).
