Permanent and ballpoint pen ink are oil-based inks, and their stains can sometimes be removed by using rubbing alcohol applied with a cotton swab or cotton ball. Hairspray used to contain alcohol, which was the secret ingredient that allowed it to get out ink stains.
Soak the Printhead
Fill a bowl with warm water (or a mixture of water and vinegar to clean the printhead) and place the printhead directly in it. Let it sit for five minutes or so. Pull the printhead out of the water and use a lint-free cloth or paper towel to remove the dried ink.
As a last resort I tried soaking the head in methylated spirits for about 15 minutes. Then I blew out the nozzles and basically the whole head with compressed air. I reinstalled the head and carried out a deep clean. Then I did a nozzle check and all was working like brand new.

The ink that has dried on nozzles can often be loosened by washing them in warm water. Sometimes you will need Windex, or some other ammonia-based solvent, to provide a deeper level of cleaning. Make sure your printer is turned on.
Sponge rubbing alcohol into the stain.
Pour rubbing alcohol onto another paper towel and use it to sponge around and directly on the stain. If the towel underneath the stain becomes too stained, remove and replace it with a clean one and continue to sponge until no more ink is being removed from the garment.
If the stains are set in or have been present for a while, try this solution for a deep-clean. Spray WD-40 on the stain and behind the fabric as well. Wait approximately five minutes for WD-40 to break down the oil in ink. Do your laundry, as usual; the stain should come off.

We sprayed the Windex generously and let it sit on the ink stain for a few minutes. With clean paper towels we began scrubbing and blotting. We were so surprised that it worked! The ink stains were completely removed and cleaned!
Just a small amount of hand sanitizer or rubbing alcohol can do the trick. Simply put in a drop or two of the rubbing alcohol over the ink stain on your clothes and rub it, within 4-5 minutes the ink stain will vanish completely and you can proceed to wash your clothes using detergent and water as a final step.
