While teaming up with Spider-Man often leads to the Carnage's defeat,
While Venom would eventually mercilessly beat Carnage to achieve victory over his “son,” it took an entire team of heroes to “soften up” the serial killer symbiote.
The symbiote's raw power coupled with Kasady's sociopathic personality made it so neither Spider-Man nor Venom could defeat Carnage alone. However, even with their powers combined, Carnage proved to be a deadly enemy.
After several long, drawn-out battles, Spidey was able to both defeat these new Avengers and Carnage himself. Although he did get some help from S.H.I.E.L.D. and Venom, this was one of the greatest battles between Spider-Man and Carnage.
The sheer terror on Eddie's face and the “Oh God” phrase says it all, and shows how much he's afraid of Carnage, especially now he has returned much more powerful than his usual self. Because to an extent, Venom is kind of afraid of Carnage on the books too, or at least seems to be in modern books.
In addition, Venom has come out on top as the victor in many battles with Symbiotes like Carnage, Hybrid, and Scream (all of which are arguably more powerful than he is).
Why is black Venom afraid of red Venom? It could be that in the universe of the Venom movies, this type of strong bond is already known among the symbiotes to result in stronger specimens. This could explain why Venom is so fearful of facing an enemy with a ruddy hue.
Spider-Man and Venom were able to barely defeat the mad symbiote and have teamed up many times to defeat Carnage.
Abilities. As its father was bounded to Peter Parker, Carnage and its siblings are immune to Spider-Man's Spider Sense.
Carnage barely put up a fight. Pieces of the symbiote were on him, but he didn't fully transform or try to defend himself. Venom simply pulled the symbiote off of him and ate it, becoming stronger.
Briefly retracting Venom from his face, Eddie apologized to Cletus before Venom angrily devoured the serial killer's head and contemptuously tossed his corpse aside.
During the last interview with Brock, Kasady started mocking the reporter by wishing him a heartbreak for uncovering his secrets. Venom wasn't satisfied with his actions and attacked the prisoner, which resulted in Cletus bitting Eddie's hand. Right after the bite, Carnage was born and bonded with its host.
Venom is overpowered by Carnage but provokes Frances into using her powers to separate Carnage and Cletus. Venom devours Carnage and kills Cletus while the collapsing cathedral crushes Frances. Later, an alive Mulligan's eyes flash blue, revealing that he somehow absorbed a part of Carnage.
The best chances are iron man, Thor, Scarlett witch, and black venom. Carnage has bitten through adamantium but not vibranium so enough kinetic blasts might work. Scarlett witch can just wipe him from existence. Thor has resisted symbiote a before and carnage has never been shown handling anything like his god blast.
All the captured symbiotes have struggled to find compatible hosts, killing all the previous human test subjects. In the movie, Venom makes it clear that Eddie is the best match he has found, which explains why he stays in his body and helps him survive.
Carnage is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, usually as an adversary of Spider-Man and the archenemy of Venom, in particular the Eddie Brock incarnation of the character, although Carnage and Venom would join forces if their goals aligned.
When it comes to sheer brute strength, Carnage is very much stronger than his sire Venom. The primary reason for this is that each evolution of the symbiote is stronger than the last and also because Carnage bonded with a human whose psychotic and unhinged personality traits were amplified.
Carnage Has Superior Abilities
Carnage was forged on Earth and has therefore developed slightly more potent abilities than Venom. The character is actually a lot stronger than Venom, despite having been born from him. In fact, Carnage's strength is more forceful than both Venom and Spider-Man's.
Blue Symbiote (2) (Agony): In the comics Agony was one of the symbiotes forcibly spawned from Venom alongside several others by the Life Foundation.
Venom has bonded with everyone from Deadpool to Captain Marvel, but the symbiote's most powerful host was inarguably the Void.
Who would win in a fight between carnage and riot? Carnage does have more abilities, but was like a rampaging kid and Venom ate it to kill it. Riot was cunning, and was even able to rip Venom from Brock and would have eaten him if Brock didn't rebond with it.
This is why Carnage is more powerful than Venom, and it is also why he looks the way he does. The red hue and unstable, fluid-like design of the character is meant to represent its fusion with Kasady's blood. This strange connection to the color red and its association with blood goes well beyond Carnage's origins.
Venom 3 was originally expected to arrive sometime in October 2024, but the fact that Sony has moved it up on the schedule suggests that they are confident about delivering the film despite the impact of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes on the production (more on that below).
