Clear the cache
To clear cached data from a single or specific program, just go to Settings> Applications>Application Manager and tap on the app, of which the cached data you want to remove. In the information menu, tap on Storage and then “Clear Cache” to remove the relative cached files.
Download and install the Google Photos app. Photos and videos that are fewer than 30 days old may be retained on your device. They'll still be backed up in your Google Photos library. Important: Before you delete your photos, make sure that they're backed up.
A common reason for this issue revolves around the Recently Deleted album in the Photos app. This album allows you to recover deleted photos and videos for up to 30 days after deleting them. Like the Recycle Bin on your computer, it acts as a temporary safety net in case you change your mind.
128GB is usually enough for most people, but a big reason why many still consider upgrading to 256GB is simply to get some peace of mind. After all, you don't want to have to bother freeing up storage space all the time.
Buy storage via the Google One app
From the Play Store, download the Google One app. In the Google One app, at the bottom, tap Upgrade. Choose your new storage limit. Review the new plan pricing and payment date, then tap Continue.
Photos and videos backed up in Original quality count toward your Google Account storage. Learn more about photo and video backup options. Photos backed up in Original quality and then compressed to Storage saver quality (previously named High quality) count toward your Google Account storage.
Select Photos settings, followed by Back up and sync. Toggle Back up and sync on. Once your backup is done, future photos you take will be saved to the cloud. You can view, edit, and sort them inside the Google Photos app and see them from your desktop at Google.com/photos.
A JPEG is a processed, compressed image that's ideal for everyday use. These images don't take up much storage space and are easy to share via text, email, and social media. On the other hand, RAW files are huge by comparison and can eat up a ton of storage space. RAW files are just that – the raw photo data.
"Clear data" clears the files stored inside the data directory of your app. Your pictures are not saved inside the data directory of that app, so rest assured that the images won't be lost.
If you're ready to free up space, tap Delete # items. Open the iPhone or iPad Photos app (not the Google Photos app). Tap Recently Deleted and delete those same photos and videos.
Deleting Messages does not free up storage
If you could delete the Messages app it would clear the lot but you cannot.
Store your photos and videos in iCloud
With iCloud Photos, you can make more space available on your device and still have access to your entire full-resolution collection wherever you go. Get started with iCloud Photos: Tap Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Photos. Tap Sync this iPhone.
64GB: limited storage space
With 64GB, you'll have enough if you use your iPhone for WhatsApp and calls. In addition, you have space for some social media apps and light games. You can use streaming services such as Netflix and Spotify and you don't record 4K videos.
Apple offers four storage options: 5GB (free); 50GB (99 cents/month); 200GB ($2.99/month); and 2TB ($9.99/month). If you use other services, such as Apple Music or Apple TV+, then you may find it makes sense to subscribe to the Apple One service, which may save a few bucks.
Number of RAW vs JPEG Photos on Memory Cards
128GB = 4,368 photos. 256GB = 8,732 photos.
