Background play only works in the YouTube mobile apps and requires a YouTube Premium membership. Some videos aren't available for background play or to download offline, even if you have a channel membership.
To rule out this possibility, you need to check whether you are using the latest version of the YouTube app. If not, you need to update it: If you are using an Android device, you can go to the Google Play Store app > hamburger button > My apps & games to check whether the YouTube app needs to be updated.
Your PiP mode not working issue may have resulted from a corrupt YouTube cache. In this case, clear the app's cache files, and your issue will be resolved. Clearing the cache doesn't remove your Google account from the app or delete your account data. Note that you can only clear the app cache on Android.
Picture-in-picture (PiP) shrinks a video into a small player so you can keep watching while using other apps on your mobile device. You can move the small player around your device's home screen and position it over other apps.
Step 1: Open the Settings app on your iPhone. Step 2: Scroll down and tap on General. Step 3: Tap on Picture in Picture. Step 4: Tap the toggle next to 'Start PiP Automatically' to enable the feature.
The most common reason why Apple Music stops when you open another app is that the other app doesn't allow any media playback to run in the background.
There are a few ways to stop Apple Music from pausing when you open other iPhone apps: Turn on "Play in Background" in the Music settings. Open the Settings app and tap Music. Then, make sure the Play in Background switch is turned on.
