Android Phones and Tablets
The most common method is to use a “casting” app, such as AirBeamTV. Our apps allow you to wirelessly connect your phone to any popular TV. Once connected, you can “cast” the content on your phone's screen to your TV, and watch movies from your phone on your TV without HDMI.
For this, you'll need an HDMI cable and a USB-C to HDMI adapter, which you can find at Amazon. Plug the USB-C end into your phone and then connect an HDMI cable between the adapter and your TV. After connecting the adapter and cable, the screen on your Android phone will automatically appear on your TV.
Depending on the kind of USB connection your Android uses, you can connect to your TV using adapters like a Slimport. If you have a USB-C port, you can connect using a USB-C cable if it has DisplayPort support and your TV accepts DisplayPort. These methods won't always support 4k video, however.
Locate the USB port on your TV or use an HDMI-to-USB adapter to add a USB port to the TV. Use a cable that plugs into both the phone and TV or adapter to connect the devices. Go to the Source button on the TV remote control or on-screen menu. Select USB.
You can connect a smartphone to your TV using an HDMI cable or via a wireless connection. You can use a USB-to-HDMI adapter if your TV has an HDMI port. So, if you have an Android phone with a USB-C port, a USB-C-to-HDMI adapter will work. If you have an iPhone, you'll need a lightning-to-HDMI adapter.
You can connect a supported Android™ smartphone and the TV with a Micro USB cable to enjoy content (Photos, Music, Videos) saved in the smartphone on the TV. You can also perform such operations with the TV's remote control. Refer to the information below for more about supported devices and the operating procedure.
For example, if you're using an Android device, you must go into Settings > Display > Cast menu and enable it from there. On iOS devices, this can usually be found under Control Center > Airplay (or Screen Mirroring). With your phone enabled for screen mirroring, it's time to turn on your smart TV's feature.
To mirror the screen wirelessly, Wi-Fi connection is essential to your TV. For non-smart TVs, you will need a casting device such as a Samsung AllShare Cast, Chromecast or Amazon Firestick. Note: the process of sharing your screen to a TV differs depending on the make and model of both your TV and device.
Chromecast and Fire Stick are two popular streaming devices for streaming content from your phone to your television. They work with the majority of non-smart TVs that have HDMI ports.
Set up a mobile hotspot on your phone by going to the settings, look for the "Mobile Hotspot" or "Tethering" option, and turn it on. Connect the TV to the mobile hotspot by going to the TV's settings, look for the "Network" option, and select the mobile hotspot from the list of available networks.
If you're having issues with your devices not connecting screen mirroring, a quick fix is to restart both your TV and phone. Make sure that your phone is paired and connected to your TV using the same Wi-Fi network and then reboot the Wi-Fi router.
By far the simplest method to connect your phone to a TV is with Google Chromecast. Android phones have the casting feature built-in, so as long as you have a Google Chromecast connected to your TV, you can “cast” to it. This means anything on your phone—video, the home screen, a particular app, whatever.
Go to the TV input setting and choose the HDMI cable connection port. Open the Android phone quick setting and choose screen mirroring, smart view, cast, or screen sharing after connecting with the ScreenBeam Mini 2 wireless receiver shown in the dropdown list of the available devices.
There can be multiple reasons why does your TV not recognize the USB. It can be an incompatible USB format, using a USB drive of more than 2TB, damaged USB ports of your TV, bad sectors of the USB, or outdated firmware.
You can use USB Type-C to HDMI cable or you can also use any USB Type-C OTG adapter which has HDMI port on it (I assume your Android device has usb type c interface). You can find same parts for micro usb (old interface used by android devices). But your device must support that feature too.
