“To check out your current followers go to the “More” tab located on your profile page and click on 'Followers',” Vaughan said. “If someone who's still on your 'Friends' list is missing, it means they've unfollowed you.”
Simply head over to their Instagram profile and tap the box that says “Following.” There, you'll see a list of people that person is following. If you know for sure they were following you, but you're not on that list, you can safely assume you've been unfollowed.
To protect user privacy, Instagram does not notify you if someone has unfollowed you. If you want to know who has unfollowed you on Instagram, there are two ways to do this – manually or use a third-party app.
The person you Unfriend won't be notified. If you later decide you want to be friends with the person, you'll need to add them as a friend again. When you Unfollow a person, you won't see their posts in your News Feed, but you'll still be friends with them on Facebook. You can also Unfollow a Page or group.
As explained above, unfollowing is a one-way journey. It doesn't change anything from their end. Your posts and stories will still appear in their newsfeed if you are friends. In case you want to stop your posts from appearing in their feed, you should restrict them.
When you unfollow someone, you won't see their posts in Feed, but you'll still be friends with them.
The profile you unfriended won't be notified. If you don't want someone to see your profile, add you as a friend or send you a message, you can block their profile. Note: If you unfriend someone's profile, you'll also be removed from that profile's friends list.
To those trying to guilt trip genuine unfollowing and blocking as rude, it's not. It's rude if you start harassing or slandering these people, but it's not rude to say you don't want to see a stranger's content because you don't enjoy it.
From your Feed, click Pages in the left menu. Go to your Page. Tap Activity at the top of your Page. Scroll down and tap Followers.
You can reconnect with a person, Page or group that you unfollowed by following them again. Only you will see the change. The person, Page or group won't be notified that you followed them again.
If you've blocked someone or they've blocked you, you won't see their profile. If you have additional Facebook profiles you'll need to manage blocking from each of your profiles separately.
Facebook Block Feature
When you block someone, all connections that once existed between you, including friendship pages, notes, comments and likes, will be lost. You no longer have access to their profile and they can no longer access yours. Photo tags and comments are removed.
If you post something that a follower disagrees with, they may unfollow you rather than keep you in their timeline. This includes political posts, religious posts, or sponsored content they don't agree with. People tend to follow people who are like them, or who they want to be like.
Facebook doesn't let people track who views their profile. Third-party apps also can't provide this functionality. If you come across an app that claims to offer this ability, please report the app.
A Grey Account is basically a Facebook Profile that can't be verified as an actual real person. According to Facebook: “A 'Grey Account' occurred if you turned a private page into a public page or merged duplicate pages anytime since opening the account (this apparently looks shady to Facebook).”
You can be Facebook friends with that person again if you want, but you will need to send them another friend request. Facebook users are not notified if they are unfriended.
There could be several reasons why someone might remove you as a follower on Instagram, including: They no longer have an interest in your content. They are cleaning up their account. They disagree with your views or opinions.
You automatically follow people who you're friends with. You can also follow Pages (example: businesses, organizations, brands) and people who aren't your friend on Facebook but allow everybody to follow them. When you follow someone or a Page, you may see updates from that person or Page in your News Feed.
Facebook friends are for close connections, while followers allow posts to reach wider audiences. Users can select the friends, people, and pages to follow to curate their News Feed and consume content of interest on Facebook.
That means you won't be able to see their “About” info or the posts on their Timelines even though they are following you. Why? Because even though those people are following you, they are not friends with you. Therefore their info is hidden from your view in accordance with their accounts' privacy settings.
Block means he/she can't see your profile. Unfollow means they will no long friends but they can see your profile & sent you friends request again.
Similarly, people may unfollow accounts because they no longer find the content interesting or relevant, or they may be trying to declutter their Instagram feed.
