When Dudley had a run-in with magic that didn't end well - Part 1. As if that wasn't enough, Hagrid then cast a spell on
Vernon Dursley: "Taking Dudley to the hospital. Got to have that ruddy tail removed before he goes to Smeltings." This Muggle private hospital, located in London, England, is where the Dursleys took their son Dudley to remove his tail after Rubeus Hagrid attempted to transform him into a pig, on 1 September 1991.
When two Dementors were sent for Harry, Dudley got caught up in the mix. The experience left him completely confused and traumatised, leaving Harry to save his life and carry him home.
The spell is unnamed in canon and Hagrid apparently casts it non-verbally. In the movie version, Hagrid gives Dudley the pig's tail because he is gobbling up Harry's pink birthday cake. In the book, Dudley never touches the cake, and the jinx is performed as retaliation for Vernon calling Dumbledore an "old crackpot."
His last words in the movie are, "I still don't understand why we have to leave." But he also has a deleted film scene where he has a final conversation with Harry, and his last line is, "I don't think you're a waste of space." In the final book, Dudley's last line is simply, "See you, Harry."
Vernon's dislike of Harry, she adds, “stems in part, like Severus Snape's, from Harry's close resemblance to the father they both so disliked”.
Petunia seemed to hold a sense of loyalty towards Harry, but she locked those feelings deep inside. Before the Second Wizarding War, Rowling shared that Dudley went on to marry and had two children. Harry was supposedly on amicable terms with the Dursley family, claiming they were on his Christmas card list.
5. When Dudley had a run-in with magic that didn't end well - Part 1. As if that wasn't enough, Hagrid then cast a spell on the Dursleys' darling boy and gave him a pig's tail, which had to be surgically removed.
Hagrid later becomes friends with Ron and Hermione as well. Later in the book, a hooded person (Quirinus Quirrell in disguise) gives him a dragon egg to elicit details about Fluffy.
Hagrid got Aragog from Newt Scamander!!! Aragog, the Acromantula, explains how he came to be with Hagrid in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets: "I came to Hagrid from a distant land, in the pockets of a traveler."
They were escorted to an undisclosed location. J.K. Rowling has confirmed that: "Harry and Dudley would still see each other enough to be on Christmas-card terms, but they would visit more out of a sense of duty and sit in silence so that their children could see their cousins."
'Remember my last'
Petunia's disdain for Harry was most likely born from a long-standing jealousy of her magical sister, Lily. A Howler from Dumbledore, addressed to Petunia, said 'Remember my last' – no doubt referring to the letter which he left with baby Harry, on the doorstep of Privet Drive.
One of the most beautiful moments in the entire Potter series came from when Dudley and Harry were able to make amends. This occurred in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows when Dudley told Harry that he didn't think he was a waste of space. They even shook hands!
This spell could be used to transform the target into a pig, or else produce a pig tail should the original objective fail. Rubeus Hagrid used this spell on Dudley Dursley, much to the panic of Vernon and Petunia.
A Brazilian baby boy was born with a real human tail that was successfully removed without complications at Albert Sabin Children's Hospital in the city of Fortaleza, according to the Journal of Pediatric Surgery Case Reports.
On 31 July 1991, Rubeus Hagrid, despite being forbidden to perform magic, attempted to transfigure Dudley Dursley into a pig, after his father Vernon Dursley had crudely insulted Albus Dumbledore at the Hut-on-the-Rock, but only managed to give him a tail.
Quirrell's body manifests burns and blisters during his fight with Harry due to the protective power Harry's mother left in his skin when she died for him.
Hagrid was very drunk and thought he was a stranger because he was wearing a hood. He won the dragon egg by playing a game of cards. Quirrell knew he wanted a dragon egg and used it to manipulate Hagrid into telling him how to get around Fluffy.
As an unqualified wizard who didn't finish his education, Hagrid was not technically allowed to perform magic.
In Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, we don't see Dudley in the flesh, but Harry does mention that they're still in contact. And by this point, it appears that Aunt Petunia has passed away too.
He was suffering head trauma. We assume he had been hit by a car since he was found on the road. Although he did not have any broken bones he appears to have incurred some brain damage & has impaired vision.
To make matters worse, Lily Evans befriended a bedraggled boy named Severus Snape who didn't think Lily was strange at all, and told her all about 'magic'. As Petunia was the Muggle sister, it wasn't long before Snape turned on her, using his power to make a branch fall and hit her.
Though Harry encountered many opportunities that deemed Avada Kedavra necessary, it remains as one of the Unforgivable Curses Harry Potter never cast. For one, he viewed the spell as an immoral practice commonly used by users of the Dark Arts.
Petunia was incredibly jealous of Lily's magical ability and hated that her magical sister always seemed to be the centre of attention. When she married Vernon, she didn't want Lily to be a bridesmaid because she was tired of being overshadowed by her.
