Ginny Weasley, despite being the youngest of the bunch, nearly dies in the
Harry believes that this is his final moment with Ginny before he goes to die. A part of him wants her to know that it's happening: he is leaving, at last. But he can't call to her, because he worries she will try and stop him, and he might let her. Instead, he walks on, and doesn't look back.
Lord Voldemort lived inside those pages, and Ginny was eventually possessed as the Dark wizard began to absorb her strength, control her into opening the Chamber of Secrets, and nearly killed her. The event, though undeniably traumatic, was a pivotal point in Ginny's life.
Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Gilderoy Lockhart came to the rescue. Ron and Lockhart were stuck behind an avalanche of stone, so the battle was fought mostly by Harry. Harry managed to defeat both the Basilisk and the memory of Tom Riddle, thus saving Ginny's life.
After being slipped Tom Riddle's diary by Lucius Malfoy, Ginny began to write in it as Tom's spirit would slowly drain the life from her. In return, Tom compelled Ginny to open the chamber, cause mayhem around the school and then be the next victim to die after Myrtle.
Neither of them is Slytherin's heir. Although, as Dumbledore says, Harry's ability to speak Parseltongue is a skill accidentally transferred by Slytherin's actual heir, Voldemort, when he tried to kill Harry as a baby. So perhaps this is one myth with a bit of truth to it.
The first time we see her burn herself is in season 1, episode 2, when, after a particularly overwhelming day, Ginny turns off the light, closes her bedroom door, and takes a lighter to her inner thigh. Scars from past burns are clearly visible, as are angry welts from recent ones.
She didn't block it. She ducked, she dodged it, she moved her head or body to avoid it. No one has blocked the curse with a spell to do that.

J.K. Rowling has stated one of the reasons Ginny is gifted is due to the fact she was a seventh child and the first female Weasley born in generations, which ties into the superstition of the seventh daughter of a seventh daughter.
She breaks up with Dean in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, finally winning the affection of the only boy she has ever loved, Harry. Unfortunately for Ginny, Harry ends their relationship to protect her from Voldemort at the end of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
During the duel, Bellatrix shot a Killing Curse at Ginny. Bellatrix's curse narrowly missed Ginny, sparing her death by mere inches.
Before heading out, Ginny burned the blue plant that Georgia had at home that Cordova pointed out to her was poisonous. Meanwhile. Georgia revealed that her ex-husband's ashes are now scattered thanks to the fireworks at the end of the episode.

The author has said that Ginny's birthday is 11 August 1981, which actually makes her almost exactly one year younger than Harry (whose birthday is 31 July 1980) and 17 months younger than Ron (whose birthday is 1 March 1980).
Ginny and Hermione each have their own strengths. For Hermione, she's logical, book smart, and clever. Ginny is smart too, but in other ways. She's more kinesthetic and she's a gifted Quidditch player.
She gets to act like an ass and is rewarded for it: she hexes Zachariah Smith for no reason other then him “annoying her”. She can insult people but will tear into anyone who does it: she calls Luna “Looney” when she first introduced her to everyone but will jump anyone else who does it.
As the youngest Weasley, we're sure Ginny observed more than her fair share of unpleasant spells over the years but it was the Bat Bogey Hex she was famous for – and with good reason. This was the spell that overpowered Draco Malfoy and the Inquisitorial Squad, and also secured her an invite to the Slug Club.
In Deathly Hallows, Hermione faced a real test of her physical and psychological stamina. After being on the run from a bunch of Snatchers, the gang were taken to Malfoy Manor, where Bellatrix proceeded to torture Hermione using the Cruciatus Curse.
Though Harry encountered many opportunities that deemed Avada Kedavra necessary, it remains as one of the Unforgivable Curses Harry Potter never cast. For one, he viewed the spell as an immoral practice commonly used by users of the Dark Arts.
Anxiety/depression – One of the teenage characters refers to a dark time he went through recently. His mother (played by Jennifer Robertson ofSchitt's Creek) also mentions it. Ginny clearly struggles with anxiety.
Through flashbacks, we learned that Georgia married Kenny (Darryl Scheelar) after he got divorced, so he was Ginny and Austin's stepfather back in the day. While Georgia was observing Kenny and Ginny doing yoga together one day, he saw Kenny go to help Ginny with her form and inappropriately touch her.
However, in the Order of the Phoenix, Ginny becomes less nervous around Harry, and even starts to date other boys. This possibly causes Harry to become interested in her, and in the sixth book, Harry has a big crush on her, while Ginny was dating Dean Thomas.
