During the chaos, Ser Gerold Dayne, called Darkstar, strikes at Myrcella to force Doran into a war against the Lannisters. He fails to deal a killing blow, as Myrcella's horse veers away, but the princess is still wounded. Maester Caleotte saves her life, but Myrcella loses an ear and has a hideous facial scar.
In the ensuing confrontation, one of Arianne's co-conspirators, Ser Gerold "Darkstar" Dayne, attempts to kill Myrcella; although unsuccessful, he cuts off one of her ears and leaves her scarred.
Ellaria kisses Myrcella goodbye. However, as the Lannister party prepares to leave Dorne, Ellaria poisons Myrcella by kissing her on the lips with a poison lipstick. The poison claims Myrcella's life, while Ellaria drinks up the antidote to save herself.
In the next Arianne chapter, during her audience with Doran Martell, the Prince of Dorne tells his daughter that Myrcella has survived - though the Darkstar had failed to kill her, he had given her a scar on her right cheek, taking an ear with his strike.
Myrcella had an older brother, Joffrey, and a younger, Tommen, with whom she was close. The real father of all three children is Jaime Lannister, her uncle (Cersei's twin brother) and a member of the Kingsguard, making them bastards born of incest.
He also described Ser Pounce as "a bit of a bugger on set"
For example, this week, 12-year-old King Tommen Baratheon (who is a mere seven in the books) lost his virginity to his much older queen, Margaery Tyrell, played by 33-year-old Natalie Dormer.
But when her final child, Tommen, committed suicide after realizing that Margaery was killed by his mother in the explosion of the Great Sept, Cersei's reaction was truly chilling. After seeing her child's body, she coldly ordered Qyburn to burn it and to spread the ashes over the remains of the Sept.
A Game of Thrones
Princess Myrcella accompanies her father, King Robert Baratheon, north to visit Winterfell and the Starks. She is smitten with Robb Stark during the feast.
The poison that she coated her lips with to take Myrcella's life (via goodbye kiss) resurfaced tonight when Cersei used it on Ellaria's chained and helpless daughter Tyene. To perfectly parallel her own daughter's death, Cersei even delivered the poison with a kiss.
Back in season 1, Cersei explains to Catelyn Stark that the first time she got pregnant, the child was Robert's. However, the black-haired baby died of a fever shortly after it was born.
Here's how Cersei puts it all together: she chains Ellaria up in a dungeon. Her daughter Tyene is chained up on the opposite wall. Then, using the same poison Ellaria uses on Myrcella, Cersei dooms Tyene to the same death.
Why did Oberyn Martell never marry Ellaria Sand? He was fourth-in-line to rule Dorne, and there was no need for any future political match. Oberyn never married Ellaria Sand, because then he would be married. He is one of the three Princes available for marriage.
She is sentenced to life in the Black Cells for Myrcella's murder, and is forced to watch as Cersei fatally poisons Tyene, with the same poison Ellaria used to murder Myrcella. Ellaria's current status is unknown, though it is very unlikely that she survived Daenerys's devastation of King's Landing.
Tommen is Queen Cersei Lannister's youngest son and, like his siblings, he is also the son of Cersei's brother Jaime Lannister, but he is unaware of this, as he believes Robert Baratheon to be his father. Tommen is described as handsome and sweet-natured but weak-willed.
He was murdered along with his father, Prince Doran, by Ellaria Sand and the Sand Snakes in an act of retaliation for his father's inaction against House Lannister for their crimes against House Martell.
Simon explained: “Why does she sleep with Lancel? Well, [Cersei's] father was - her father was Tywin Lannister, the most powerful man in pretty much the Seven Kingdoms, but I think in the books she slept with him because he was someone that she could rule. Rule over, dominate and that's Cersei's want. She dominates.”
Because Cersei didn't understand Tommen. She saw the world from her own perspective, which was completely different from his. Cersei sees the world in terms of power and advantage.
So we know that Cersei had sex with Jaime at least once before her wedding (on the morning of her wedding as it happens).
Many factors made these two fierce rivals instead of best friends, primarily the older queen's bitter jealousy. Cersei is immediately envious of Margaery upon their introduction. The Tyrell lady is young and beautiful, and far less easy to manipulate than Sansa.
Ellaria sought revenge for the death of Oberyn Martell (Pedro Pascal) and kissed Myrcella with poisonous lipstick. As she sailed home with Jaime she suffered a spontaneous nosebleed, which turned out to be her hemorrhaging from the toxins.
Talisa met Robb on the battlefield in the aftermath of the Battle of Oxcross. She impressed him with her care and attention, even though she was also aiding his enemies. After falling in love, Robb and Talisa decided to marry, despite Robb's existing betrothal to a daughter of Walder Frey.
Tommen winds up truly loving Margaery, and when Cersei blows up the Sept of Baelor, killing Margaery among countless others, he takes his own life. Renly is the first Baratheon that Margaery weds in an attempt to gain power.
Margaery is in charge and she wants to stay that way. Refusing Tommen sex is a way to dominate him and make him dependent on her whims and needs. He will be even more concerned with making her happy, and well, he wants his reward for that effort: sex with his wife.
King Tommen Baratheon's death in Game of Thrones season 6 finale may have been by his own hand, but Tommen's suicide was sparked by circumstances beyond the sudden death of his wife. Callum Wharry played the youngest son of Cersei Lannister until the role of Tommen was recast with Dean-Charles Chapman for season 4.
The sex scene in season five was a cringeworthy watch for viewers due to the age gap between Tommen and Margaery - with the young Lannister king aged around 12 or 13 while his new wife was many years older.
