Between us: Autistic girls use plural personal pronouns such as 'they' and 'us' almost twice as often as autistic boys do. During conversations, girls with autism use “we,” “they” and other words related to social groups differently than autistic boys do, according to a new study.
People with autism often speak with a different rhythm, prosody, and/or volume than typical peers. Thus, even if the words themselves are appropriate, they may sound flat, loud, soft, or otherwise different. It's not unusual for people with autism to "script" their conversations.
Autism in girls often presents as deficits in social skills and communication. Girls with autism may also have repetitive behaviors, but they tend to be better at boys than hiding them and fitting in with peers. Girls may be hyper-focused on a specific topic and not participate in school to their potential.
Communication can be characterised by very limited use of language or they may use it excessively, they may have a 'flat' tone to their voice and repeat certain phrases over and over. About stimming and autism

Some signs of high functioning autism in females include: Difficulty with social communication, such as maintaining eye contact or understanding sarcasm. Strong interests in specific topics, often related to science or technology. Difficulty with transitions or changes in routine.

Sensory hyperreactivity seems to be especially pronounced in autistic females, so much so that many claim sensory issues are the defining feature of their autism. Sensory sensitivities are hardwired in the brain, and therefore cannot be changed.
not seeming to understand what others are thinking or feeling. unusual speech, such as repeating phrases and talking 'at' others. liking a strict daily routine and getting very upset if it changes. having a very keen interest in certain subjects or activities.
Autistic girls may be extremely sociable or chatty, or very shy and isolative. It is common for them to have one or two strong friendships, but struggle socialising in groups. This may not be obvious though, as they may have learned to mask their difficulties well.
Some children with autism may start talking at 12-16 months. Most don't start talking until later. Some will start talking between the ages of 2-3 years. Other children talk even later, and some children never learn to talk.
