Add the number or email address that you want to block to your Contacts. For phone numbers, go to Settings > Phone > Blocked Contacts > Add New. For email addresses, go to Settings > Mail > Blocked > Add New. Select the contact that you want to block.

Open your Phone app . Call history . Tap a call from the number you want to block. Tap Block / report spam.
Restart your iPhone. Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad. As it can relate to blocked numbers, if you have any third-party calling or blocking apps, check and make sure they are not playing a role in this.

Blocking Someone on Android Messages and Apple iMessage

When your number is blocked, you'll find that you'll get one ring and then the call will go to voicemail. However, even if you leave a voicemail, it won't go to the recipients inbox. Rather it'll be directed to a location for voicemails from blocked numbers.
Your old messages remain blue, but the latest texts you send after they've blocked you turn green. However, the bubble colors aren't accurate clues. They could mean the recipient turned off their phone, gone offline, or switched from iOS to Android.
The only way to see a call history from a blocked number is to unblock the number. They will be added to your regular call list, and you will be able to see any missed calls you receive from the number. However, they will be able to contact you again.
Blocking people who you know who have negatively impacted you, like through bullying, toxic friendships, and constant harassment and contact, can also help improve your well-being. Blocking can be tricky though, especially when it comes to people you know.
A red flag that you've been blocked is when you don't see the delivery status or the read receipt at all. The message you just sent will still be in a blue bubble, but it will have no delivery status below it – not even a "Not Delivered."
