Select the printer, and then click Properties or Printer Properties. Click the Advanced tab. In the Scale/Resize area, select the Print document on option, and then select a size from the drop-down list. Click OK to close the printer settings or properties dialog box.
Select Start > Settings . Go to Devices > Printers & scanners > select a printer > Manage.
For example, if an image measures 3,840 x 5,760 pixels and you want an 8- x 10-inch print, take the longest edge in pixels and divide it by the longest edge in inches of the target print size: 5,760 pixels ÷ 10 inches = 576 ppi.
Change the page orientation for a document

Most printed materials use a font size between 10 or 11 points. The default font size in many word processing programs is 12 point type, which is larger than necessary for print. Printed projects are easier to read with consistent font sizes for body copy and headlines.
Your Ctrl + Alt + D hotkey will open Devices and Printers whenever you press it.
This can occur when a specific paper size is not specified in MS Word's Page Setup. Go to File > Page Setup and click on the Paper tab, and the dialog box below appears: The remedy for this is to change the Paper Size from Variable Paper Size to the actual desired output paper size, for example, Letter, 8 ½ x 11.
Simply press the Windows key + R shortcut to bring up the Run dialog, or open the Command Prompt. Type control printers and press Enter. The Devices and Printers window will open immediately. Open the Control Panel and choose Large icons under the View by drop-down list.
Open the printing preferences dialog box after creating a document in an application. Click the Basic menu on the Detailed Settings tab. Select Zoom in the Reduce/Enlarge: list. Specify a reduction/enlargement percentage by using the spin box of Zoom:.
For a 4" x 6" print, the image resolution should be 640 x 480 pixels minimum. For a 5" x 7" print, the image resolution should be 1024 x 768 pixels minimum. For an 8" x 10" print, the image resolution should be 1536 x 1024 pixels minimum. For a 16" x 20" print, the image resolution should be 1600 x 1200 pixels minimum.
