Can I have multiple Apple IDs? You can create multiple Apple IDs, but it's best to stick with one account. If you want all of your Apple services to work properly and your devices to sync, you need to make sure to use the same Apple ID everywhere you sign in.
Sign out of the common Apple ID, to include FaceTime and Messages, create a new ID for yourself, and then sign back in. The contents of the phone should remain intact. Purchases are tied to the Apple ID that was used to purchase them, so they would have to be obtained by the new Apple ID.
Apple allows you to sign up for a new Apple ID using any of your existing email addresses from services like Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, etc.
Once you're all signed out of your iTunes/iCloud account, you can create a new account. Go to Settings > iCloud and tap Create a new Apple ID. You'll be asked to enter in a birthdate, name, and email address (you'll need to enter in a different email address from your other iTunes/iCloud account).
3 Accounts Per Device is the Limit:
You can only create 3 Apple IDs per device. So, use a different device to create one --one that has not been used 3 times to create an Apple ID.
If you use multiple Apple IDs, such as having one for personal use and the other for work, you'll be glad to know that you can use more than one Apple ID on your device for things like email, contacts, notes, and more.
When changing to the new ID, there may be some data loss, but you can minimize it. If syncing photos with iCloud, ensure Optimization is turned off in Settings/Your Name/iCloud/Photos and/or in Photos/Preferences/iCloud. Then make sure full resolution photos are on the device/computer.
You can delete your Apple ID from Apple's Data and Privacy website. Once an Apple ID account is deleted, you'll lose access to a number of services and saved content.
You can only CREATE up to 3 *new* Apple IDs on your iOS device. You can ADD as many as you want, but may be prohibited for a certain amount of time from downloading new content after switching (90 days or so).
Avoid sharing an Apple ID
Apple recommends that you do not share your Apple ID. Instead, set up Family Sharing so that each person uses their own Apple ID.
Your Apple ID's name can only be changed to another third party email that is not already in use by another Apple ID.
If you can't change your Apple ID
If you see a message stating that the email address that you want to use isn't available or is already in use, check that you or a family member isn't already using that email address with a different Apple ID.
If you see a Could Not Create Apple ID message, it means that you have exceeded the number of new Apple IDs you can set up with iCloud on a single device in one year.
Sign out of your devices. Once the account is deleted, you won't be able to sign out of iCloud or turn off Find My iPhone, and it may even prevent you from using the device at all once the account itself is deleted.
Once removed, the device will no longer be able to receive notifications or messages sent to your Apple account, accept 2-factor authentication codes, connect to iCloud, make any purchases on the App Store, sync to other devices, or make backups of itself.
It doesn't. Your iCloud account is still there. That does not delete the account. The only way to delete the iCloud account is to delete your Apple ID permanently, which means that all of your purchases are no longer usable.
Sign in to the Apple ID website (https://appleid.apple.com) and review all the personal and security information in your account to see if there is any information that someone else has added. If you have two-factor authentication turned on, review trusted devices for any devices that you don't recognize.
Resetting your iPhone will completely remove your settings and your personal info, like contacts, photos, etc. So, before you do a factory reset, try restarting your iPhone. This may help address minor software issues. If you decide to do a factory reset, you should back up your iPhone first.
With a soft reset, the operating system is rebooted and all services reloaded. If you use this method of resetting, all your personal data, files and apps on the device will remain unchanged.
