If your Centrelink online account is linked to myGov, sign in now to claim a payment or concession card. You can also claim using your DVA online account through myGov. We'll send you a letter confirming your payment has been made. You don't need to do anything.
All Victorian households can visit compare.energy.vic.gov.au from 24 March 2023 to apply for their $250 Power Saving Bonus. For help with your application call 1800 000 832.
A one-off $250 Cost of Living Payment will be paid to eligible recipients from the end of April 2022.
How can I get the $250 payment? If the Coalition is re-elected in March, all NSW households will be eligible for the $250 rebate. This includes existing rebate recipients. Households will need to visit the comparison tool provided by Service NSW and will be eligible for the payment even if they don't switch plans.
You do not need to apply to claim the payment.
If eligible, the payment will be automatically transferred into your nominated bank account. Each recipient can only receive one payment, even if you are eligible under two or more categories.

The $250 cost-of-living payment

The $250 Power Saving Bonus is available to all Victorians households. To be eligible for the $250 Power Saving Bonus, Victorian households need to: Have a recent residential electricity bill. Be the account holder for that bill.
Customers can then upload their tax invoice/proof of purchase via the secure Victorian Dining and Entertainment Program website. The program is available on a first come, first served basis until funds are exhausted. Customers are encouraged to submit their claim quickly to avoid missing out.
The Power Saving Bonus (PSB) is a one-off $250 payment to Victorian households who look for a better energy deal on the Victorian Energy Compare website.
The Government has provided two separate $750 payments to social security, veteran and other income support recipients and eligible concession card holders. Around half of those that benefit are pensioners. These payments will support households to manage the economic impact of the Coronavirus.

The Government announced on 1 February 2022 that an aged care workforce bonus of up to $800 will be paid to eligible aged care staff in Government subsidised home care and residential care.
Carer Supplement is an annual payment of $600 for each eligible payment you get. You'll get this on top of your regular payment.
