On your Windows computer, open File Explorer, then click iCloud Photos in the Navigation pane. If you don't see iCloud Photos, click Pictures in the Navigation pane, then double-click iCloud Photos. Double-click a thumbnail to download and view it.
Your original photos and videos are stored in iCloud and space-saving versions are kept on your device. Your library is optimized only when you need space, starting with the photos and videos you access least. You can download the original photos and videos over Wi-Fi or cellular when you need them.
The connectivity between iPhone and iCloud means that if you delete a picture on your iPhone, it's also removed from iCloud.
Turn off iCloud Photos in iCloud and all of your devices
Photos and videos stored in iCloud will be deleted 30 days after you stop using the service.
As long as there's space on your iCloud account, it automatically syncs with Photos on the iPhone. In short, any photo on the iPhone or iCloud is the same and not a copy. Any photo deleted from iPhone is also deleted from iCloud if the sync is enabled. Follow these steps to turn off iCloud syncing.
On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud. The bar graph shows your overall storage usage. Tap Manage Account Storage or Manage Storage for more details. Below the graph, you see a list of apps and features and how much iCloud storage they use.
With iCloud Photos, all the photos and videos in your photo library are stored in iCloud, so you can access them from your Mac, PC, iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV, and on iCloud.com. Any new photos and videos you add to Photos, or take with an iPhone or iPad, appear on all your devices that have iCloud Photos turned on.
Go to Settings > [your name], then tap iCloud. Tap Manage Account Storage or tap Manage Storage, then tap Backups. Tap the name of the device you're using, then look at Photos.
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Check that Wi-Fi is on and you have an internet connection. Tap Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Photos. Make sure Upload to My Photo Stream is turned on. If you don't see this option, turn on iCloud Photos to keep your photos and videos in iCloud instead.
When Optimize Storage is turned on, full-resolution photos and videos are stored in iCloud, and, when needed, space-saving copies are stored on your device. And as long as you have enough space in iCloud, you can store as many photos and videos as you want.
Unhide your photos
So if you're missing photos or videos, make sure the Hidden album is turned on so you can see it. If you use iCloud Photos, the photos that you hide on one device are hidden on your other devices too.
Go to Settings > Photos, then tap Shared Library. Tap Sharing from Camera and make sure it's turned on. To have the Camera app add photos to your Shared Library automatically when you're near participants, choose Share Automatically.
Synchronize iCloud
From the Settings screen, select your Apple ID then select iCloud. 2. Select Show All, then select the switch next to each item to turn iCloud synchronization on or off as desired.
Any files that were being synced to iCloud Drive will be removed from your Mac if you choose not to keep a copy. If you have the Desktop & Documents option turned on in iCloud Drive, then the removed files will also include anything in those specific folders. That is generally most of your files and documents.
iCloud storage lets you save all your photos, contacts, documents, text messages and much more sucurely and access them from any iOS device under the same Apple ID. When you set up iCloud, you automatically get 5 GB of storage.
When you delete a photo or video from Photos on iCloud.com, it's also deleted from all your devices that have iCloud Photos turned on. If you change your mind, you have 30 days to recover it before it's permanently deleted.
How to find deleted photos on iPhone? If you have your iPhone, go to Photos > Albums, scroll down, tap Recently Deleted, tap Select, then select all the photos and tap Recover. Your photos are back where they used to be.
If you want to remove photos from iCloud but keep them on your iOS devices, make sure to disable iCloud Photos first. Go to Settings -> Apple ID (your name at the very top) -> iCloud -> Photos -> Toggle off “iCloud Photos”. Now, when you remove photos from iCloud, they will stay on your iPhone.
On your Android phone or tablet, open Google Photos . At the bottom, tap Library Find the folder under Photos on device. If available, open your device folders to find your missing item. If you want your device folder items to appear in your Photos tab, you can back them up automatically.
