Enter *67. Enter the number you wish to call (including area code). Tap Call. The words "Private," "Anonymous," or some other indicator will appear on the recipient's phone instead of your mobile number.
To turn off caller ID, open Settings, tap Applications, and then tap Phone. Locate and tap More Settings. Tap Caller ID. And select Hide Number.
To block caller ID for an individual call, dial 1831 (or #31# from a mobile) then the number you are calling. Generally, this will make sure the person you are calling will not see your number.
Use *67. This trick works for smartphones and landlines. Open your phone's keypad and dial * - 6 - 7, followed by the number you're trying to call. The free process hides your number, which will show up on the other end as “Private” or “Blocked” when reading on caller ID.
*31# (Disable Caller ID)
If you want to keep your privacy and prevent others from knowing when you call them, you can disable caller ID by using this code.
While using *67 works on smartphones, it must be entered each time you dial a number. Most cellular carriers offer a way to block your number on all outgoing calls using the Android or iOS device settings.
Caller ID is primarily a carrier-side function. If you are seeing that your Caller ID is turned on, but it is dimmed out so that you can't turn it off, you may want to reach out to your carrier and see if they require Caller ID to be active.
You can restrict your caller ID so that your information (name and phone number) does not show up when you place phone calls. To restrict your information on a single call, add *67 before the number you are calling.
If your phone is on a GSM network (e.g., most Androids), you can always dial #31# to block your caller ID.
Settings. Under “Outbound caller ID,” choose the phone number you want to make calls and send messages from.
If you don't want Google to identify spam callers, touch > > Settings > Caller ID & spam and turn it off .
Update your display names
Select Show details for the number you want to update on Caller ID. Choose Edit for Caller ID. Enter the info and select Save.
If I dial *67 can I still get through if I'm blocked? Based on our tests in April of 2022, this still works. If you dial *67 then the recipient's full ten-digit phone number, your call will ring through. The recipient's caller ID will say 'Unknown Caller' or something similar.
