Anti Wrinkle injections placed along the jawline at the base of the muscle responsible for the downward pull can lift a downturned mouth. Dermal Fillers can also be used in this area to treat the Marionette Hollows associated with a downturned mouth.
Botox injections can be used to relax the muscles around the mouth preventing repetitive movement from dragging the lip corners downwards. Dermal filler provides structural support to the cheek and jawline to help 'lift' and rejuvenate the area.

Why Do The Corners Of My Mouth Droop? As we age (or lose weight rapidly) the fat pads in the face shrink and the muscles that hold up the mouth corners start to slip down and become loose. As the mouth corners begin to come down, the skin falls into folds called Marionette Lines.

Botox for downturned mouth treatment
Botox injections may be appropriate for people whose mouth corners naturally drawdown at rest. This can also happen in younger patients with overactive Depressor Anguli Oris (DAO) muscles. If you want to address this, Botox can work wonders.
As a general rule, it doesn't take much botulinum toxin to do this, and if your practitioner charges by the unit as we do in the forehead area, it's a pretty inexpensive injection. We only use four to five units per side. So, it's 8-10 units to elevate the corners of the mouth.
DOWNTURNED MOUTH

Dermal fillers and Botox are used to improve this area and can give extremely pleasing results, often immediately. In addition, treatment such as Dermaroller micro-needling may be used to stimulate the skin's repair mechanisms from within, by boosting collagen production.
Downturned Lips: In order to give the mouth a “lift”, the makeup artist should avoid sharply defining the outer corners of the lower lip. The lip line can be filled in accordingly, but the focus on the outer corners of the lower lip line should be minimized by even adding concealer and drawing the lower lip line up.
For most people, the answer to “At what age does your face change the most?” is sometime in their 50s or 60s. This is around the time that the effects of gravity and fat loss become extremely noticeable.
While the aging process can't be reversed, you can dramatically reduce jowls with the following procedures: Facelift (surgical) Neck lift (surgical) Laser resurfacing using needles to reach treatment areas (minimally-invasive procedure with five to seven days of downtime)
