PiP on Android
If you are using at least a version of Android 8.0, then you can also enjoy the Netflix floating window, among other video streaming options. The following method guides you through the steps to enable Netflix picture-in-picture on your Android phone.
Update to Android 8.0 Oreo
Google's picture-in-picture mode only works on devices running Android 8.0 Oreo or higher. So if your device is on Nougat (Android 7.0) or Marshmallow (Android 6.0), PIP mode will not work for you.
In the Safari app on your Mac, navigate to the web video you want to play. Click and hold the Audio button in the Smart Search field or in a tab. Choose Enter Picture in Picture. You can drag the window to any corner of the screen and the window stays put, even if you switch desktop spaces.
To use the pop-out player, users will click a small icon along the bottom of the screen. Once the new window appears, you can resize it and position it wherever you'd like.
Press down on the video window with two fingers. Spread your fingers apart to enlarge the size of the video window; pinch them together to decrease the size. To restore the video back to its original size, tap the PiP icon in the window. To stop the video and close the window, tap the X.
Open Profile & Parental Controls for the profile you want to update. Open Viewing Activity for that profile. On the Activity page, click the hide icon next to the episode or title you want to hide. If you hide an episode, you'll see the option to hide the entire series.
You can watch a video while multitasking on your iPad thanks to the latest Netflix update, available now in the iTunes store.
Restart your device
Unplug your device from power. Press the power button on the device once and wait 1 minute, or leave it unplugged for 3 minutes instead. Plug your device back in. Turn your device on and try Netflix again.
PIP mode is only for iPhone running with iOS 16/15 and iPad running with iOS 16/15. So, when iOS 16/15 Picture in Picture not working, ensure that your device is up-to-date to the required iOS version. To check and update the software on iDevice, follow the below steps: Open Settings > Go to General > Software Update.
So now, go to developer options, search for the Force activities to be resizeable option. Enable it by toggling the button on. This should now enable split screen mode on Netflix and any app that did not have the option available before.
Your Netflix account is in use on too many devices. It means the maximum number of devices allowed to watch at the same time using your Netflix account has been reached. Your Netflix plan determines how many devices are allowed to watch at the same time using your account.
Safari's PiP button is hidden in the address bar
If a video is playing in Safari, go to the address bar at the top of the window, right-click the blue audio button on the right of the website address and click Enter Picture in Picture. The video will then automatically move to a floating window.
Open an app. Slide one finger up from the bottom edge of the screen until the Dock appears, then release. Touch and hold a second app in the Dock, then immediately drag it up out of the Dock. If you drag the app to the left or right edge of the screen, it appears in Split View with the current app.
Your PiP mode not working issue may have resulted from a corrupt YouTube cache. In this case, clear the app's cache files, and your issue will be resolved. Clearing the cache doesn't remove your Google account from the app or delete your account data. Note that you can only clear the app cache on Android.
Tap the "Picture-in-Picture" button.
It's a set of rectangles with an arrow pointing to the bottom-right corner. You'll usually find this button in the lower-left or lower-right corner of the video or FaceTime window. You can also enable PiP in supported apps by pressing the Home button and opening a different app.
