Safari's PiP button is hidden in the address bar
If a video is playing in Safari, go to the address bar at the top of the window, right-click the blue audio button on the right of the website address and click Enter Picture in Picture. The video will then automatically move to a floating window.
While YouTube's picture-in-picture mode was previously removed on the iPhone, it has since returned bringing back a handy feature already enjoyed on some of the best Android phones. It's now available to any one on iOS 15 or above.
If your iPhone still doesn't enter Picture-in-Picture mode while quitting the Home screen, try bringing up the PiP page manually. While streaming video, switch the app to full-screen mode. Then, tap the tiny PiP icon in the upper-left corner of the screen, if visible. That should force the video into a PiP pane.
Launch the YouTube app on Android or iOS smartphone. Choose a video you want to watch and start playing it. Turn off the screen or switch to another app while the video is playing. The video will continue to play in the background, even if you're not actively using the app.
Restart Your iPhone. If the video player app supports PIP mode, but not working, then try to reboot your iPhone. It could be due to some minor software glitch that making you going through this issue. And simply restarting the device can resolve the issue.

Android Devices
Select 'Apps' or 'Application Manager'. Find 'YouTube' and click on it. Scroll down and choose 'Picture-in-picture' under 'Advanced'. Make sure 'Allow Picture-in-picture' is enabled.
The picture-in-picture feature is present on both Android and iOS, but it's only available to YouTube Premium subscribers. Nevertheless, you can use a few neat little tricks to watch YouTube in PiP mode on any desktop or mobile device.
Enable the PiPifier extension in Safari
In Safari, tap the AA icon on the top-left, go into Manage Extensions,toggle on PiPifier and hit Done. This will enable the PiPifier extension in Safari, which means you can now use it directly from the website settings menu.
