If someone is acting like a bridge between your old life and your new life, this is a sign God is telling you it's time to let them go and say goodbye. It can be so hard and painful when someone wants to leave you while you still want to be with them.
Sometimes, God wants us to let things or people go so that He can do His work in us and even, in them too. If we don't let it go, we may end up slowing down the purpose or being an obstacle with what He is trying to do.
Because suffering is not the way it's supposed to be, God already entered our cosmos and suffered and died because of sin. God has already begun to restore all things to himself. Why it takes so long, we may never know this side of the New Creation.
Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you. It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you.
If you know you would run from God and be angry if he never answered this prayer request, that means your heart is not ready to receive it. But if you are truly willing to serve God and love him fully even if he never gives you the thing you are asking him for, this is a great sign you are being prepared to receive it.
The first known use of the word “goodbye” was recorded in 1573 in a letter by English writer and scholar, Gabriel Harvey, which reads: “To requite your gallonde [gallon] of godbwyes, I regive you a pottle of howdyes.”" “Godbwye” is a contraction of the phrase “God be with ye.” Throughout the years the word “good” was ...
Prayer to Let Go of The Past
Lord, I kneel before You in humble submission and pray that in Your mercy and kindness You would help me to simply let go of all the fears and worries, problems and doubts, guilt and disappointments that seem to be filling my heart and mind so often, during the course of a day.

Instead, Micah listed out the three principles of what God asks of His people: to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with Him.
Obedience seems to always be a key part of God's testing. He gives us things to do which make no sense to us and are not particularly appealing, although they are good for us. Then he watches our response to learn exactly how we feel about our relationship with him. If we trust him, we typically obey.
God can only comfort us because he has suffered; he can offer mercy because he has experienced weakness and need. He gives to us what he first experienced. Paul's point that suffering does not produce comfort is not addressed here. Being comforted is the thing that equips us to comfort.
The Lord says, “'It is mine to avenge; I will repay'” (Romans 12:19 NIV). He wants us to trust Him to set things right and even the score. When we surrender our anger, we may still feel hurt, but that hurt won't express itself in active or passive retaliation.
Jesus said, "But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you." (Luke 6:27-28 NIV) In the following verses Jesus gives several specific examples of how to treat those who have hurt you, and He concludes with, "Be merciful, just as ...
When God asks us to give something up, it's so we can receive more of Him. Abraham walked down that mountain a different man. He had a greater understanding of God's love and provision because He was willing to give it all. The same is true for us when we choose to trust God.
