Bangle size is determined by the size of your hand and not your wrist. To determine your bangle size, simply tuck your thumb into the palm of your hand (as if about to put on a bangle) and using tailor's tape, measure your hand all the way around the set of knuckles closest to your wrist, from knuckle to knuckle.
Make a fist and measure the length from the outside of the first knuckle to the point between the third and fourth knuckle. This measurement equals the required diameter of your bangle.
Calculate your diameter. Grab a calculator and divide your measurement by Pi (3.14) to find your diameter. E.g.: A 21cm hand measurement would be 21 divided by 3.14 = 6.68cm diameter. Round that down a bit to 6.6 and a 21cm hand can comfortably fit wear our Queenie size!
Standard size or average size is the one that is the most popular amongst the majority of women. The average bangle size is between 7 to 7.5 inches. The bangle should sit between your wrist bone at the base of your hand.
Use a strip of paper
No measuring tape or string lying around at home? No problem. Take a strip of paper and wrap that around the widest part of your hand and again, mark the point where one end meets the other. Unfurl the strip, lay it along a ruler, and get your bangle size this way.
Bring your thumb and little finger together. Wrap where your hand is the widest. Mark the meeting spot of the thread/paper end. Measure the length of the thread with your scale.
For an average fit, you should add 2.5cm (1”) to your wrist measurement to get your bangle size; for a loose fit, you could add up to 3cm (1.25”). Closed bangles are best selected based on your hand size for an average fit. For a looser fit, you can choose a bangle one size larger.
8" is a medium size, 7" is small, and 6" is best for people with extra-small hands. If you have a bangle bracelet that fits you well, it is easy to measure around the inside of the bracelet to determine its size.

Similar to choosing your ring size, you can determine your correct bangle or bracelet size by measuring your wrist or hand. For a bracelet, which opens and fastens around your wrist, measure the wrist itself. For a bangle, which is a rigid style generally designed to slip on, you'll need to allow some extra space.
Measure your hand as close as possible to your wrist, leaving no space. Example photo shows a 15.5 cm wrist measure (size S). If your wrist size for example 16.5 cm/6.5 in – chose size S because bracelets are being made bigger than wrist volume.
How should a bangle bracelet fit? You should be able to fit in or slip two fingers comfortably in it. Remember, a wristband that is too tight for you will make your wrist appear bigger. If it is too loose, it will keep rolling here and there on your arm, creating hindrance in your working.
The industry standard bracelet size for women is generally between 7 inches and 7.5 inches (18 to 19 cm), with 7 inches being the most common in women's jewelry. This bracelet size will sit nicely between the wrist bone and the base of the hand.
To give an example, a size 8 bracelet equals a wrist circumference of 7.5 inches.
Both the 16cm and 17cm bracelets are VERY small.
These sizes are usually worn by children or women with extremely thin wrists.
For women:
A bracelet of 7 inches is the most common in women's jewelry. Women's bangle and cuff bracelets usually are 7 inches in length with a 2 ½ inch diameter.
