1 part FASHION/TONING FILTER + 5 parts Revlon Professional Nutri Color™ cream CLEAR. Use this ratio as a guide, then play and create your own ratio. Leave for 10-15 minutes.
Directions for Use
Shampoo hair and towel dry. Apply Nutri Color™ Filters. Leave to process: 3 minutes for colour refresh, or 15 minutes for fashion/intense colours on pre-lightened or bleached hair. Rinse thoroughly and style hair as desired.
Colourant contains phenylenediamines and resorcinol. Developer contains hydrogen peroxide. Mixing ratio: 1:1.
It does not completely cover grey hairs but it does attenuate the grey. You have to use it once a week or so to keep hair looking really good. Sometimes I don't do it for a while, but then go back to it. There is no problem with that "half washed-out" look you get from permanent colours.
Nourishing, softening and detangling properties without weighing hair down. Free of ammonia and peroxide. Smoothing and polishing of the cuticle (ionic). Light reflecting formula for a high shine finish.
The general rule is to use one part of hair dye and two parts of developer (or 1:2) while mixing hair color. That means, if you have 2 oz of hair color, you should use 4 oz of a developer.
The hair color and the developer are mixed in a certain ratio to form a tint mixture which is then applied to the hair. Mixing ratio is usually 1:1, 1:1.5 or 1:2 (for an extra strong lightening effect).
A new way to approach low commitment hair color, REVLON PROFESSIONAL® NUTRI COLOR™ Filters offer semi-permanent direct precision color, care and shine full of multi-chromatic possibilities.
Step 3 Leave in : Leave the mixture on hair for 25 minutes total. For resistant gray hair, leave on for extra 10 minutes. For blonde shades, add an extra 20 minutes to total processing time. Step 4 Rinse : Add a little warm water to hair and gently massage color mixture through hair.
If the first number indicates the base and the first decimal is the tone, the second decimal is the secondary tone. On occasion, you may also find a third decimal. For example, color 6.41 from Revlonissimo Colorsmetique™ is a dark blonde base, with a coppery tone and an ashy hue.
Apply to washed/towel dried hair and spread product by working it through the hair. Leave for 3 minutes then rinse until water runs clear.
Evenly apply entire contents of after-color conditioner packette. Leave on for 2 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Style as usual.
What Happens If I Put Too Much Developer In The Dye? Your mix will be more wet, & more runny. If it is way too runny, you may end up lightening the hair, but not depositing enough color. It will end up thinner, flatter and last less long.
Although the specifics of how often to dye hair vary depending on your situation, one thing's for sure: coloring it too often can be bad for your hair, while overdoing it can lead to brittle strands that are prone to breakage and split ends.
You can use hair dyes without a developer but what will happen is that the results won't be as permanent as you would want with permanent hair dyes. What happens is that without a developer, the dye doesn't penetrate the hair shaft and results in splotchy coloring.
The 1b and 2 hair colors look very similar, but they have some subtle differences. 1B is a shade of black, while 2 is a deep, dark brown. This makes 1b darker than 2. 1B human hair are often processed, while color 2 hair is often dyed.
Use the Grey Coverage mixing ratio
Mix the colour at a 1:1 ratio or 50g colour + 50g developer. It's really important to use kitchen scales when mixing as too much or not enough developer will affect the coverage.
