The candida diet is strictly free of sugars, grains, and dairy. The diet aims to restore a healthy balance of yeast and bacteria inside your body. By restricting your intake of carbohydrates, you may starve the yeast of its energy source.
STARVE THE YEAST
The first key is to eliminate foods that have yeast in them and foods that yeast likes to eat. This means cutting out vinegar, beer, wine, mushrooms (as part of the fungi family, they can cross-react with Candida) and sugar, refined carbs, processed foods.
You'll usually need antifungal medicine to get rid of thrush. This can be a tablet you take, a tablet you insert into your vagina (pessary) or a cream to relieve the irritation. Thrush should clear up within 7 to 14 days of starting treatment. You do not need to treat partners unless they have symptoms.
Clotrimazole for thrush comes as a pessary and cream that you use internally, or externally. Clotrimazole pessaries contain 100mg, 200mg or 500mg. The pessary dose to treat thrush is: 100mg – use 1 pessary every night for 6 nights in a row or 2 pessaries for 3 nights in a row.

Other than itching and being dried out, it can lead to or exaggerate yeast infections. The vagina is a delicate ecosystem and if something as serious as dehydration throws it off, the PH balance can be thrown off and a domino effect of complications can be set into motion.
Fortunately, the infections respond well to over-the-counter antifungal creams or suppositories, so if you're sure you have a yeast infection, go ahead and try an OTC yeast infection medication like Monistat or yeast arrest suppositories, which contain boric acid, a mild antiseptic.
Cranberry juice may help cure yeast infections. When taken regularly, it's said to prevent recurrent yeast infections. The high levels of vitamin C in cranberry juice may aid in upper respiratory infections. It may reduce the frequency and severity of these infections.
You will notice that the itching has subsided, eliminating much of the discomfort. Finally, all irritation, inflammation, or redness will go away. The appearance and feel of your genitals will return to normal. Completing the course of your treatment is necessary.
What causes thrush? Most people have small amounts of the Candida fungus in their mouth, digestive tract and skin. When illnesses, stress or medications disturb this balance, the fungus grows out of control and causes thrush.
