Press the "Ctrl" and "Window Switcher" keys at the same time to take a screenshot of the entire screen. Press the "Ctrl" and "Shift" keys at the same time, and then press the "Window Switcher" key to take a screenshot of just the active window.
If your device does not have the PrtScn button, you may use Fn + Windows logo key + Space Bar to take a screenshot, which can then be printed.

You may also take a screenshot using the CTRL + Print Screen shortcut. Windows takes a full-screen screenshot and saves it to the clipboard.
Press Ctrl + PrtScn keys. The entire screen changes to gray including the open menu. Select Mode, or in earlier versions of Windows, select the arrow next to the New button. Select the kind of snip you want, and then select the area of the screen capture that you want to capture.

For ThinkPad X1 Carbon the 2nd Generation, because it supports the Adaptive Keyboard, there is no PrtSc key. Users have to press Fn+T to make a screenshot.

On most keyboards, the button is usually found next to the “F12″ and “Scroll Lock” keys. On laptop keyboards, you may have to press the “Fn” or “Function” key to access “Print Screen”.
Quickly press and release the “volume down“, and “Power button” to take a screenshot. Once you do so, the screenshot will be captured.
