I am extremely grateful for all of your blessings in my life, Lord. I pray that you remind me of just how blessed I am and that you never allow me to forget to show my gratitude in prayer and returned acts of kindness. Thank you, Lord.
"Almighty God, today you have blessed us. You have given us the gift of life, good health, food, and shelter. We have been blessed with warmth and sunshine, peace, and a thankful heart. While today may not be a special day, o God, we have enjoyed it as another day full of blessings.
The Psalmist David praised God at least seven times a day (Ps. 119:164). But God is worthy of thanks and praise always—24 hours a day, seven days a week. Anytime is time to give thanks and praise to God!
Offering the Lord gratitude in thanksgiving can be done in your own words or following this prayer. “I worship You, O Lord, God of the Universe, and I love You to the core of my being. Heavenly Father, thank you for creating me. I am a Christian, and I am grateful to have this day.
God the Almighty — I praise you, God, because “who is like you, LORD God Almighty? You, LORD, are mighty, and your faithfulness surrounds you” (Psalm 89:8). 4. God the Prince of Peace — I praise you, God, my “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6).
Dear Lord, This morning as I contemplate a new day, I ask you to help me. I want to be aware of your spirit—leading me in the decisions I take, the conversations I have, and the work I do. I want to be more like you, Jesus, as I relate to the people I meet today—friends or strangers.
“Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.”
But praise always begins with a choice to bring yourself before the Lord. Prayer is an excellent place to start, asking the Lord to help you love him with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength and bring that fullness to him in worship. You can draw near to God each morning with a quiet time of reading the Bible.
In order to glorify God in prayer, we must ask wisely, not carelessly. It means that in order for our prayers to be heard by God, we should ask according to His will (1 Jn. 5:14-15).
Whole-life worship is the kind that pleases God. "let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise and do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased (Hebrews 13:15, 16 NIV).
God wants us to be thankful, but His vision for thankfulness is bigger than a once-a-year celebration. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 tells us to give thanks all the time and for everything. We are called be thankful daily, not just once a year.
Gratitude opens our spiritual eyes. There's a beautiful cycle in giving God thanks: the more we thank Him, the more we see Him working in us and around us. Gratitude helps us sense God's presence, His personal care and His perfect timing.
Testimony commits God to do more (Proverbs 3:9-10). It propels the testifier to a great height (Psalms 18:1-3). Strength and courage is released, when you thank God. Thanksgiving brings incredible multiplication.
