From the left menu, select Content. Click the video that you'd like to edit. In the Description, add a list of timestamps and titles. Make sure that the first timestamp you list starts with 00:00.
What are timestamps on YouTube? YouTube video chapters, or timestamps, break up videos into sections and provide an individual preview for each of them. When a user clicks on a timestamp, they are immediately taken to the part of the video that timestamp is linked to.
The TIMESTAMP data type is used for values that contain both date and time parts. TIMESTAMP has a range of '1970-01-01 00:00:01' UTC to '2038-01-19 03:14:07' UTC. A DATETIME or TIMESTAMP value can include a trailing fractional seconds part in up to microseconds (6 digits) precision.
Underneath the URL on the share link section, there is a small box indicated as Start at. The timestamp is automatically generated.
If a comment on a YouTube video was deleted before the creator of the video was able to see it, then the creator will not be able to see the deleted comment. However, the comment may still be accessible and able to be seen through an email if the creator has enabled comment email notifications.
Manually: Open the YouTube video, and copy the URL. Then, add &t= with the time, like &t=1m30s. For shortened URLs, use ?t= instead.
Forgetting the 00:00 timestamp
One of the most common reasons why YouTube chapters may not be working is because the creator forgot to add the first timestamp, which is the intro.
YOU (and others not affiliated with YouTube) can not track links based on timestamps. YouTube can track people however they want to, regardless of timestamps in links. There is no danger in using timestamps that doesn't exist without the timestamps.
If you leave the same comment in multiple videos, you risk being flagged as spam. This can also happen if multiple users flag your comments as spam. If that happens, you'll lose certain privileges, such as commenting on videos. YouTube's algorithm will also consider any subsequent comments spam and delete them.
If you can't find a comment after you get a notification, it's possible that the comment has already been removed. Comments can be removed by the original poster, the channel owner, or for policy violations. If you think a comment is inappropriate, you can report it as spam or abuse.
If you have accidentally deleted a comment, you can try to recover it by going to the Youtube Help Center and submitting a request. You will need to provide as much information as possible, such as the username and approximate time the comment was posted.
What Happens When Someone Likes My Comment on YouTube? When some upvotes your comment, you're immediately rewarded with a point below the comment. Each “like” amounts to one point. Unlike views, however, likes aren't redeemable and cannot earn you monetary rewards.
A highlighted comment appears on YouTube to flag your attention so that you can interact with the comment more easily. Neither users nor creators choose to highlight comments, and it is not good or bad when this happens – the feature is just meant to help you navigate comments that might be of interest to you.
To enable timestamps in the history command, you have to export the HISTTIMEFORMAT environment variable. Here, %F will show the date in YYYY-MM-DD format. %T will show time in HH:MM:SS format.
Timestamps are in the format [HH:MM:SS] where HH, MM, and SS are hours, minutes, and seconds from the beginning of the audio or video file.
Open the video on your browser and locate the video URL on the address bar. Edit to add the timestamp: The time is denoted by t= followed by the time (in seconds) you want the video to play from. An example is, t= 1m30s. If the video URL contains a question mark at the end, add an ampersand (&) before the time stamp.
