So how does Demon Slayer end? As you well know, the true “ending” of Demon Slayer takes place after the final confrontation with the Demon King Muzan. The Demon King was defeated, but it was a seriously pyrrhic victory; Iguro and Kanroji died in each other's arms.
Once Muzan was defeated, Iguro held a dying Mitsuri as his own lifeforce drained from him. After they professed their love for each other, they died in each other's arms. The manga's final chapter shows a bakery operated by its hostess, Mitsuri, and its chef, Iguro.
Picking up three months after Muzan's defeat, the penultimate chapter showed that Tanjiro recovered from his near-transformation into a demon. However, the injuries he sustained had lasting effects when he was human again, with his left arm and right eye permanently damaged.
Tanjiro did his time as a demon, but now he's back to normal—well, almost normal. He's still got Muzan living inside of him, so he'll struggle with “inner demons” quite literally from now on.
As Muzan is also dying he uses the last of his powers to turn Tanjiro into a demon — a plan that the demon king had always been working to achieve. In doing this, Tanjiro has become the demon king and an enemy to the Demon Slayer Corps.
Chapter 205 of Demon Slayer features a timeskip and mentions the death of Tanjiro three generations after the battle against Muzan. To sum things up, Tanjiro died fighting Muzan and was revived within seconds due to the transfer of blood from the Demon King to Tanjiro.
Ultimately, Nezuko survives and finally turns into a human after being stuck as a demon for so long. Despite turning into a human, she's one of the prime reasons why Tanjiro could defeat Muzan, even after almost being turned into a demon himself. The manga comes to a conclusion after the fight with Muzan.
Despite of this possibility, there might still be hope that Tanjiro may not have died at the young age of 25.
However, in the Demon Slayer manga Muzan reveals his motivation for attacking the Kamado family. It turns out that Muzan attacked the Kamado family and specifically turned Nezuko into a demon in an attempt to create a demon that would be able to withstand being in the sunlight.
In his own franchise, Tanjiro is outclassed by most of the nine Hashira as of the end of season 1, including Giyu Tomioka. It's easy to compare Tanjiro's strength to Giyu's — since they are both demon slayers — and they even use the same element: water.
Later it is revealed that he married fellow slayer Kanao Tsuyuri. In the Modern World, Tanjiro and Kanao had descendants named Sumihiko Kamado and Kanata Kamado.
Though Tanjiro succeeds in making use of Water Breathing throughout the early parts of his adventure, he eventually discovers that he's better suited for Sun Breathing instead.
He unleashes another shockwave and blows Obanai Iguro and Sanemi Shinazugawa away, however, Tanjiro Kamado holds on but loses his left arm. Tanjiro loses his arm.
Fortunately, Tanjiro is reverted to human form by Tamayo, who uses her humanizing drug on Tanjiro. Although, turning back into a human wasn't easy for him, as Muzan, who resides inside Tanjiro, uses all his might to convince the young boy to remain a demon.
That said, after taking Kokushibo by surprise, Genya dies and literally fades to ash in front of his brother's eyes. Most Demon Slayer fans had thought that, out of the two brothers, Sanemi would die before Genya would, and the fact that it was the opposite made things pretty rough emotionally.
5 Hashiras who die in Demon Slayer, and how it happens.
Muzan Kibutsuji has done some terrible things in Demon Slayer, but his slaughter of Tanjiro's family is one of the most mysterious.
Unfortunately, Gyutaro spots Inosuke and stabs him right through where his heart should be with a sickle imbued with deadly poison.
Despite Muzan Kibutsuji assumption that he has killed them all in his attempt to sire a sun-resistant demon, Nezuko survives as a demon with her mind mostly gone. However, she retains enough of her memories to keep herself from killing Tanjiro.
Yoriichi Tsugikini. Yoriichi Tsugikuni is the strongest demon slayer character to have ever existed in the series. He is also the only person that Muzan was ever afraid of.
Gyomei Himejima
Gyomei Himejima, the Stone Hashira, is the strongest Hashira in the Demon Slayer corps in terms of strength and swordsmanship. He is the only person who uses spiked flails and an axe instead of standard swords to kill demons.
Tanjiro's Current Demon Slayer Rank Is Kanoe
Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke have moved from Mizunoto up to Kanoe due to their exploits. Murata, the Demon Slayer, who was almost digested on Mount Nagumo, is also a Kanoe.
With the death of Shimomiya and her completing the Final Selection, Nezuko would rise in the ranks until she became the second Sun Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps.
Nezuko Kamado
Zenitsu also protects Nezuko multiple times when she is in danger, evident during Zenitsu's first meeting with Inosuke Hashibira and the battle against Enmu in the train. Eventually Zenitsu and Nezuko would marry and start a family as evidenced by their descendants.
Since he didn't know anything about the Blue Spider Lily medicine, he needed others to find the plant for him by happenstance. This is the general reason why Muzan turned Nezuko into a demon. More specifically though, was the fact that Nezuko was of Kamado blood.
