Your cargo — specifically things that you were carrying as part of a standard order — will become lost if it falls off of your back, and you get too far away from it. (The distance seems to be about a half of a kilometer or so.) Lost cargo will disappear from your world and appear in someone else's.
Death Stranding “Too Far From Cargo” message meaning
This alert appears when Sam moves too far away from a package that he has been carrying. The alert appears to warn the player that, if they don't go head back to pick up the dropped cargo, it will become “lost” and disappear from the player's game world.
Death Stranding lost cargo
Cargo becomes 'lost' if you drop it and walk away from it. Once you get to a certain distance, that cargo will leave your instance of the world and be transported to someone else's. From there, they're free to finish what you started.
At first, you'll find lost cargo from NPCs you've met throughout the game, but as you progress and become more connected to other players, you'll begin seeing lost cargo around the map. If you're wondering if you should pick up and deliver lost and dropped cargo: You should!
If someone has found your lost cargo and placed in a share locker somewhere, that location will show an exclamation mark icon above it on your map so you can find it easily.
Beyond making sure that Sam is never over-burdened, the single most useful thing players can do is auto-arrange cargo. This will automatically distribute cargo in the most effective way possible. Players can use the function (and should) for the entire game.
The 48 hour window of time in which a corpse gradually reaches complete necrosis is informally described as "going necro". DOOMS carrier seems able to discern how far along a corpse is in necrosis, as Sam, a level 2, does at the beginnig of the game.
If you want to ensure your are quickly increasing your connection level with a certain facility, make the full deliveries yourself. If you would rather passively have likes roll in while you move through the story, then entrust your standard orders and let your fellow players give you a hand.
Postboxes are a great way to donate cargo you can't deliver to other players (if you're not heading to the city it needs to got to). You can also choose to donate weapons and equipment to other players, as well as use the postbox to store your own items as well in a private locker.
After becoming available, you'll be able to create up to two carriers at the same time, and link them to carry more cargo.
Are there missable missions in Death Stranding? Yes, unfortunately, you can miss missions in Death Stranding. If you continue too far along with the main story missions (the ones highlighted with an orange strand), then you may notice that side-missions become unavailable.

Sam's backpack can hold a maximum of 4x2 spaces (8 Small, 4 Medium, 2 Large, or 1 XL + 1 Medium). Anything that does not fit will be placed onto the stack above the backpack, which has a capacity of 10x2. Sam can only fit Small containers onto his shoulders and hips.
When focusing on the main objectives, Death Stranding is about 40½ Hours in length. If you're a gamer that strives to see all aspects of the game, you are likely to spend around 113 Hours to obtain 100% completion.
Death Stranding Episode 8 - Heartman is one of the most challenging part of the game, following on from the arrival at Heartman's Lab in Episode 7. You'll be trudging through a snow-covered region linking together several facilities. The route is steep, mountainous and long, so be prepared.
However, we can say it's a satisfying discovery which adds a lot to the overall plot. But if you're looking for a more tangible reward, completing all the pizza delivery missions will open up special upgrades for Sam's firearms, allowing him to fire rounds made from chiralium.
The general consensus is that it doesn't really do anything meaningful so you won't have a better or worse experience whatever date you pick. However, you will get a special birthday cutscene on whatever date you choose.
Well, it's just for the cargo directly inside the confines of your backpack and not placed above it, but still, the backpack cover upgrade is an invaluable tool that's especially useful during late game deliveries when you're up against intense weather conditions.
Saving the side missions and standard orders until you have a better way to move cargo will make everything about Death Stranding easier and faster. Once you get faster, more efficient ways to move more cargo, going back to complete the standard orders and max out each location's connection level becomes much easier.

If you're a PC gamer who loved Death Stranding before, I'd still recommend getting the Director's Cut upgrade for the new content, gear and mechanics.
Between hematic grenades and other sorts of weapons you get later in Death Stranding, it is indeed possible to kill the bigger BTs. Doing so requires a lot of resources. Early in the game, all you'll have are hematic grenades and it takes up to 15 hematic grenades — or three full sets — to eliminate Giant BTs.
A voidout is triggered when Sam is caught and devoured by a Catcher. Sam enters the Seam and, when he repatriates, the area where he was caught becomes a crater. The crater itself becomes inaccessible to Sam, as he will begin to float due to the Chiralium density in the crater.
