Her real parents were Daneel and Dean Novak, Pureblooded wizards. Turns out Daneel was Tom Riddles younger sister, Daneel Riddle. Of course, the Riddles were related to Salzar Slytherin himself, and this made Hermione the living heir of Slytherin. The problem with being a female Slytherin heir, is that they're cursed.
In the Chamber itself, we see a large statue of a wizard, which Harry presumes is Salazar Slytherin. We also meet Tom Riddle, who is, as it turns out, the heir of Slytherin.
In 2030, when Hermione was 5, her father Caspian got remarried to Rosaelia Weasley. From that marriage she got two half brothers Florin Alexander and Marius Charles Slytherin, and a half sister, Adele Ioana Slytherin.
Though nominally a Muggle-born witch, Hermione is descended from the Dagworth-Granger family through her father's squib heritage.
Hermione is intelligent, but that doesn't automatically mean she's a Ravenclaw. Hermione is brave, but that doesn't automatically mean she's a Gryffindor. Ambition, resourcefulness, cunning, cleverness, and fraternalism are all traits Hermione Granger possesses. They are also all traits of a Slytherin.
He is proud
Pride is a key Slytherin trait, and arguably Albus has it in cauldrons. Sometimes this is to his advantage, like when he takes pride in having a friend like Scorpius Malfoy, who is funny and clever and kind, no matter what the rumours say about him and his parentage.
Hermione isn't creative enough to enjoy or appreciate Divination as a discipline, whereas a Ravenclaw might be more open-minded. Hermione values bravery and friendship over books and cleverness. While Hermione is known as the smartest witch of her age, her intelligence isn't what she values the most.
Harry is the Heir of Gryffindor (though his powers have been bound by his father when he was a baby), Neville is the Heir of Hufflepuff, Meghan (OFC, daughter of Sirius) is the Heir of Ravenclaw. Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, Remus/Tonks.
Rowena Ravenclaw's heir in the Harry Potter series is her daughter, Helena Ravenclaw, also known as the Grey Lady.
Mr and Mrs Granger – we're never told their first names – were introduced to the wizarding world in much the same way that most Muggles are: they received a letter from Hogwarts, which revealed their daughter to be a Muggle-born witch. According to Hermione, the news came as a surprise, but her parents were supportive.
The Heir of Hufflepuff was none other than Cedric Diggory, who was well on his way to fulfilling the prophecy of the Heir of Hufflepuff when he was tragically murdered by Peter Pettigrew. Thus, the prophecy would remain unfulfilled forever.
Ron Weasley
Being Harry Potter's best friend certainly needed heaps of bravery – hence the Sorting Hat not messing around in sorting Ron into Gryffindor, the house of his parents, brothers and sister.
Albus ended up in Slytherin because he couldn't stop thinking about ending up in Slytherin, and so the Sorting Hat couldn't grasp anything other than his thoughts about being in Slytherin.
Neither of them is Slytherin's heir. Although, as Dumbledore says, Harry's ability to speak Parseltongue is a skill accidentally transferred by Slytherin's actual heir, Voldemort, when he tried to kill Harry as a baby. So perhaps this is one myth with a bit of truth to it.
Moaning Myrtle
Born in the late 1920s to Muggle parents, Myrtle Warren started her Hogwarts life in the early 1940s, where she was sorted into Ravenclaw.
However, even after Voldemort's death, Salazar Slytherin's bloodline survived through Voldemort's secret daugther, Delphini, whom he conceived with Bellatrix Lestrange. As of 2020, Delphini was the last known survivor of the Slytherin bloodline.
Severus Snape, Horace Slughorn, Andromeda Tonks, Narcissa Malfoy and Regulus Black were all Slytherin heroes in their own way, if you think about it. And Merlin – as in, yes, King Arthur's advisor and the most famous wizard in history – was a Slytherin.
Helga Hufflepuff
The founder of Hufflepuff House is by far the greatest Hufflepuff of all time. Along with Gryffindor, Slytherin, and Ravenclaw, Helga Hufflepuff founded Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Hermione was a prominent example of this as, on the surface, she appeared like someone who would fit right into Ravenclaw. But beyond her interests, her values define her as someone with a take-charge personality and bravery to spare. Unlike Ravenclaws, she didn't apply knowledge in unique ways.
Godric Gryffindor, the founder of Gryffindor house, was one of the most powerful wizards of his age, so powerful that he was said to be the greatest duelist of that era. Always ready for battle, Godric wouldn't just use a simple wand, he'd also wield a mighty sword.
Albus Dumbledore:
He wears half-moon spectacles and a long purple cloak. He has a scar on his left knee which is a perfect map of the London Underground. As a schoolboy, he was in Gryffindor house.
Note, also, that the entire Weasley family has been in Gryffindor House, but unlike all of the Malfoy family and Slytherin, they did not all exhibit Gryffindor traits. Percy''s self-serving ambition is an obvious Slytherin trait and he has not shown any potential for bravery or chivalry.
He actually asked the Sorting Hat to place him in Hufflepuff, as he was intimidated by Gryffindor's reputation for bravery, but the Sorting Hat didn't agree. They debated it for so long, that he was close to being what is known as a Hatstall, which is a term for any student whose Sorting takes longer than five minutes.
J.K. Rowling also branded Ravenclaws as “the most individual” (take that other houses!). Along with this, Ravenclaws are eccentric and creative. Perhaps the most recognizable Ravenclaw in the Harry Potter series, Luna Lovegood is certainly eccentric.
Despite being overlooked and often mocked by her peers, she never once doubts herself. She has the strength to believe in herself and her own wisdom – a trait which makes Luna Lovegood a true Ravenclaw.
