There is no cap on the number of times you can block or unblock a profile, but you are required to wait 48 hours after unblocking to block someone again.
If someone blocks you on Facebook, can you block them? Yes, you can. Go to account settings - blocking. Click Add to list of blocked people and enter the person's name.
You can't block someone in Facebook because maybe you've just recently unblocked them and again tried to block them before 48 hours. Because after unblocking someone on Facebook you can't block them again in 48 hours.
When you unblock a profile, you won't automatically be friends again. If you block a profile and then unblock it, you'll need to send that profile a new friend request.
To stop this, Facebook has made it so that you have to wait 48 hours (or more) before you can re-block a person. This means that if you are playing the blocking/harassing game, the other person has a 48-hour window to hit you back.
If you block someone and then unblock them, you need to wait 48 hours until you can friend them again.
Facebook doesn't tell you when you've been blocked, but you can figure it out in several ways. Someone may have blocked you on Facebook if you can't see their profile page or find them in search. It's also possible that someone deleted Facebook or unfriended you, and you're not blocked.
Facebook offers several options. You can hide someone's posts or unfollow that person, which means you remain "friends" but no longer see their posts on your News Feed. There's also the option to snooze someone's posts for 30 days. Or block someone so they can't see your posts or communicate with you.
Then, click “Unfriend.” When you unfriend someone, they can still see your profile and send you messages. If you do not want someone to be able to see your profile, items you post on your timeline, tag you, or send you messages, then you should block this person.
If someone has already blocked you on Instagram, you will not be able to view their profile or interact with their content. You will also not be able to block them from your account. The only way to block them would be to create a new account and block them from there.
Snooze, Unfollow, Unfriend or Block. Snooze: When you snooze a friend, Facebook blocks their posts, comments and activities from appearing on your news feed for the next 30 days. To snooze someone, you need to find one of their posts and click the three-dots menu on the top right corner of the post.
When you block somebody, they won't just not be able to post on your timeline. They won't be able to see anything you post on your timeline, tag you, send you an invite, try to friend you, or start a conversation with you. And if you're already friends with them, you'll unfriend them as well.
When something gets reported to Facebook, we'll review it and take action on anything we determine doesn't follow our Community Standards. Unless you're reporting an incident of intellectual property infringement, your report will be kept confidential and the account you reported won't see who reported them.
There is no cap on the number of times you can block or unblock a profile, but you are required to wait 48 hours after unblocking to block someone again.
On the friend's profile page click on the button labeled Friends just beside the Message button and then tap on Take a break.
When you take a break, you'll be able to: See less of someone's profile: Limit where you see someone's profile on Facebook. If you choose to see them less, their posts and posts they're tagged in won't appear in your Feed and you won't be prompted to message them or tag them in photos.
Dial *67. This code will block your number so that your call shows up as an "Unknown" or "Private" number. Enter the code before the number that you're dialing, like so: *67-408-221-XXXX. This may work on cell phones and home phones, but it won't necessarily work on businesses.
If you had them blocked and then unblocked them, you have to wait the 48 hours. It's not stupid, it is because people abused the blocking system. People would spam someone, then block them, then unblock them and spam them again... (Or message them, or tag them in stuff, etc...)
The user will be able to message and call you again.
Blocking a user prevents them from contacting you via Messages or Phone. When you unblock a number, these features will be accessible again.
Note that, if the "Add As Friend" button does not appear, or you are unable to locate the user's profile, the user has blocked you and you cannot send a friend request.
You can block and unblock people as many times as you wish. However I would ask yourself before you unblock the person/s as to why you would unblock them and then later need to re block. If it's nosiness etc then I would take a step back to remind yourself why they initially are blocked from your life in this way.
Once you've unblocked someone using the instructions above, simply visit their profile on Facebook. You can get to it by searching with the bar at the top, clicking on a tag containing their name, or similar methods. On their profile page, you should see an Add Friend button as normal.
When you unblock someone, they will be able to view your posts and stories, find you again, and send you messages. They will not automatically follow you again though, so you will need to notify them if you want them to do so. Why not check out a few other ways to grow your Instagram following while you're at it?
