There are nine total active Hashira in the anime. Each Hashira has their own region to patrol, as well as their own unique style, Breathing Technique, and abilities.
The Water Hashira, Giyu, survived the "Infinity Castle" arc after fighting beside Tanjiro against Akaza and Muzan.
Muichiro is another Hashira whose true potential is yet to be seen in the anime.
The purpose of the Tsuguko is to take the place of the Hashira they serve, if and when said Hashira is put in a position where they can no longer fulfill their role as one of the champions of the Demon Slayer Corps, such as when the Hashira retires or dies.
9 Shinobu Kocho
Even amidst the Demon Slayer Corps, Shinobu was a bit of an oddball. She was the former Insect Hashira. Unlike other Demon Slayers, she severely lacks the physical strength to decapitate a demon.
12. Shinjuro Rengoku. As the name reveals, Shinjuro is the former Flame Hashira and the father of Kyojuro Rengoku. His status in itself is enough as a testament to his power.
Finally, these elite warriors are highest in rank besides the Corps leader. There are nine total active Hashira in the anime. Each Hashira has their own region to patrol, as well as their own unique style, Breathing Technique, and abilities.
Unfortunately, he retired at the age of 35, when he lost his right leg in a fight with a demon. Since then, he devoted his time to teaching the next generation of demon slayers, most notably, Zenitsu Agatsuma, who lovingly called him "grandpa".
Shizuka is seen often teasing Sanemi and making him annoyed, nevertheless, the two had still created a strong bond and relationship with each other. Eventually, after knowing each other for a while, Shizuka finally ended up having the courage and confessed, leading to them getting married after awhile.
1 Mitsuri & Obanai
Unfortunately, the Serpent Hashira also succumbed to his injuries. He and Mitsuri confessed their love and died together shortly after. They promised to meet again in their next lives, which they did — their reincarnations run a bakery together.
1) Tengen Uzui
Without a doubt, the flamboyant Tengen Uzui is physically the fastest Hashira in the Demon Slayer Corps. His sound breathing technique is a derivative of thunder breathing, one of the quickest breathing styles.
1) Gyomei. Gyomei Himejima is the strongest Hashira in Demon Slayer. This fact has been established in the manga as Tanjiro, Inosuke and Zenitsu all agree that he is the strongest member of the Demon Slayer Corps. His strength was showcased during the fight against Kokushibo.
After various battles within the Dimensional Infinity Fortress the remaining Upper Moons are killed by the hands of various Demon Slayers. The last member, Upper Moon Four Nakime, ends up being killed by Muzan Kibutsuji himself to stop the Dimensional Infinity Fortress from being controlled by his enemies.
He was also the youngest of the Hashira at only 14 years old, being considered a prodigy of the Corps who became a Hashira only two months after joining the Demon Slayers. Muichiro, like the other Hashira, was involved in the raid on Muzan Kibutsuji's headquarters - the Dimensional Infinity Fortress.
Demon Slayer's season 3's latest episode has left fans on edge with Tanjiro's discovery of Yoriichi Tsugikuni's Type Zero sword.
Shinjurō is a very short-tempered man, especially when regarding the Demon Slayer Corps and his son, Kyōjurō, with the mention of either causing him to grow furious. He appears to be abusive, harshly insulting the recently deceased Kyōjurō and knocking Senjurō to the ground during his fight with Tanjirō.
Demon Slayer has peculiar characters with incredible strength, skill, and presence. But, among this group of eccentric people, Kyojuro Rengoku still stands out from his colleagues due to his upright and exceptional bright personality. Yet, his fiery hair is also one of the biggest reasons he stands out.
There are six forms, but Zenitsu could only learn the first form said to be the basis for the others yet he honed it to where he could fight against several strong demons. He later created a seventh form and defeated his former senior who had become the Upper Rank Six of the Twelve Kizuki.
Yae ( 八 や 重 え , Yae?) is a young woman who joins Giyu Tomioka on his travels in Giyu Tomioka's Story after her father Matazo transforms into a demon.
Tanjiro is considered to be Muzan's main nemesis throughout the series. After murdering the Kamado family, he was personally sought out by Tanjiro in Asakusa, Tokyo when the Demon Slayer recognized his scent from the scene of the murder.
The warrior Muzan feared was a swordsman named Yoriichi Tsugikuni. Yoriichi was the only slayer before Tanjiro who came close to killing Muzan, and the flashback of their fight occurred in Chapter 187.
No they would not the fight happened, in the manga and the Hashira needed “extensive” outside help to beat Muzan Rengoku Muichiro and Tengen weren't there because two are dead, and one retired but the 9 Hashira by themselves cannot win.
Demon Slayer's Tengen Uzui is considered to be one of the weakest Hashira due to almost losing this fight, but the fact is that Tengen only looks weak when compared to the most overpowered Hashira.
