Full name: Giyu Tomioka. Age: 28.
The Water Hashira, Giyu, survived the "Infinity Castle" arc after fighting beside Tanjiro against Akaza and Muzan.
Tanjirou, Sanemi and Giyuu probably all died by age 25.
After the death of Tsutako, Giyu tried to tell others that she was killed by a Demon, however, he was labeled as mentally ill and was sent away to one of his relatives, a doctor. Giyu ran away during the journey there and almost died on a mountain, but he was rescued and became apprenticed under Sakonji Urokodaki.
During his battle with Muzan Kibutsuji, he loses his right arm.
Yae ( 八 や 重 え , Yae?) is a young woman who joins Giyu Tomioka on his travels in Giyu Tomioka's Story after her father Matazo transforms into a demon.
Before he is able to regenerate fully, Tamayo appears and uses her Blood Demon Art to keep him in place, while using a drug that can turn him into human. Using this opportunity, Gyomei Himejima appears and destroys Muzan's head.
When Giyu later hears about Shinobu's death, he suddenly recalls her smiling face while being visibly shocked and upset by the news. This contrasts to his reaction to death of his other fellow Demon Slayers such as Kyojuro Rengoku, Muichiro Tokito and Genya Shinazugawa, whom he didn't react to as emotionally.
Akaza breaks Giyu's sword. Akaza and Giyu are battling fiercely, trading blows to each other. The Water Hashira has used up all his forms during the fight and Akaza proclaims that it will be the end of the Hashira, amazed at how long he fought for.
After the fight, he tries to find Mitsuri, and both confess the love they had for each other. Obanai held Mitsuri in his arms, and the two succumbed to their injuries. These were all the Hashira who died in the series. The only Hashira who have survived are Tegen, Sanemi, and Giyu.
Sanemi and Giyuu are married and live in hollowed out tree near a bunch of glowy mushrooms.
The Wind Hashira has one of the saddest backstories in Demon Slayer. His mother had turned into a demon and had killed five of his siblings. He was forced to kill his own mother in an attempt to save his only remaining brother, Genya.
Giyu would still instruct Tanjiro to train to become a Demon Slayer with Urokodaki. As there is no Nezuko, Tanjiro would have no reason to pity demons, and he'll be much more harsh that he would be if Nezuko was alive.
Gyomei is not only the oldest — 26 years old, to be exact — but also the tallest out of the Hashira and the main cast. His appearance may be intimidating, but he's a lot gentler than people think.
Giyu General Info
Height: 5'9''. Weight: 152 lb. Birthday: February 8th.
7 Can't Beat: Giyu
Giyu is one of the legendary Hashira, and he's brought down demons far more powerful than Nezuko. With his level of skill and impressive agility, he'd easily defeat Tanjiro's little sister. In fact, when Giyu first meets Tanjiro and Nezuko, he almost does kill the latter.
Three Hashira Tanjiro never will beat in Demon Slayer
Giyu's mastery of his Breathing Style (Water Breathing Style) is quite literally unmatched in Demon Slayer. Even amongst his fellow Hashira, Giyu is unique in being the only one who develops a Breathing Style Form of his own.
Giyu also states how he feels about Shinobu, saying he thinks she is both hardworking and serious, along with stating that she talks to him a lot and mentions she looks pale, implying he might be worried about it.
Shizuka is seen often teasing Sanemi and making him annoyed, nevertheless, the two had still created a strong bond and relationship with each other. Eventually, after knowing each other for a while, Shizuka finally ended up having the courage and confessed, leading to them getting married after awhile.
Haruka Shiraishi: Muzan's Daughter.
Muzan Kibutsuji has done some terrible things in Demon Slayer, but his slaughter of Tanjiro's family is one of the most mysterious.
Muzan's loyal wife and daughter seem like convenient test subjects to help him synthesize a cure for sunlight weakness as a backup in case the Blue Spider Lily is never found. The young girl might even be Muzan's biological child, a half-demon who gives off the scent of a human while having his essence in her.
