When
Anakin's age was changed to make his sudden separation from his mother more impactful. A lot of Anakin and Padme's romance was thus cut, leaving only platonic moments, particularly on Padme's part.
Padme was around 25–26 and Anakin was 20–21 when they married in Attack of the Clones.
Padmé Naberrie was born to humble parents, and was identified early as one of Naboo's best and brightest. She devoted herself to civic duty, and was elected Queen of Naboo at age 14.
In The Phantom Menace, Anakin was 9, and Padme was 14.
Fun facts also worth mentioning: Han Solo happens to be 10 years older than twins Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa.
This time jump makes Padmé a very mature 24 years old, while Anakin is still a Jedi Padawan and teenager at the age of 19. This formidable time in their lives is when the romance between the two sparks, so the age difference between Padmé and Anakin doesn't hold them back.
After serving the maximum two 4-year terms, Padmé Amidala was replaced by Queen Jamillia (24–20 BBY).
What he did not see, at the time at least, was that Padmé used her last breaths to tell Obi-Wan that she was certain that in regards to her husband, "there's still good in him." Now, those words are set to be revealed to someone other than Darth Vader himself.
But despite this, Anakin found out that Padme was pregnant only a couple of weeks before the twins were born. So, why did it take so long for her to tell him? A specific timeframe for Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith hasn't come out, but it's believed by most to take place in just under two weeks.
Leia Organa-Skywalker
Leia Amidala Skywalker (portrayed by Carrie Fisher) is the wife of Han Solo, the mother of Ben Solo, the younger twin sister of Luke Skywalker, the daughter of Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala, and the granddaughter of Shmi Skywalker, raised by Bail and Breha Organa of Alderaan.
The Jedi visited Padmé in Revenge of the Sith rather than fellow members of the Council because he knew that she was the only one in Anakin's life who would do anything to help pull him back from the dark side. Obi-Wan likely loved Padmé, but as a friend, not a potential lover.
Padme and Anakin's love story is a central point of the prequel Star Wars trilogy and Padme certainly proved her love many times. The relationship and marriage between Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala makes up a key component of the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Overview. After her death in childbirth on Polis Massa, Amidala's body was returned to Naboo for the proper funeral rites. In order to hide the fact that Amidala's twins survived, her body was prepared to still appear pregnant. Her maternal grandmother, Ryoo Thule, oversaw Amidala's funeral, as per Naboo custom.
During the iconic opening moments of Star Wars: A New Hope, Darth Vader has a tense confrontation with Princess Leia, an adversary who, unknown to him, is actually his daughter. Despite participating in Leia's interrogation, the Sith Lord doesn't uncover his familial connection with the rebellious royal.
Before he could enter, however, Vader was stopped by Sabé, Eirtaé, Rabé, Saché, and Dormé, former handmaidens of Amidala, who refused to let him enter into the grave so he would not desecrate it. However, Vader would not be denied. As he entered the tomb, he became flooded with memories of Amidala.
When the Jedi Council suspected the InterGalactic Banking Clan of having direct ties to the Separatists, they recruited Padme to investigate her colleague and former lover, Senator Rush Clovis of Scipio.
At some point after his transformation into the armored Darth Vader, Amidala's husband, the fallen Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker came to visit the mausoleum, stricken by grief and remorse for his part in her death.
The Monarch of Naboo was the elected king or queen of the Royal House of Naboo, the monarchy that governed the human denizens of the planet. The people of Naboo often elected young women, believing they possessed a form of pure, childlike wisdom that the adults lacked.
Naboo was in a state of mourning for Padmé Amidala, who died following the rise of the Galactic Empire. Following the rise of the Galactic Empire and Palpatine's self-proclamation as Emperor, Naboo hosted one of the new regime's military garrisons.
Sabé impersonated Queen Amidala in order to protect her during the Invasion of Naboo.
Originally Answered: Did obi wan and padme have an affair? No, they did not. In the original writing for the prequels, there was talk of making Padme a romantic interest for Obi Wan, so that his conflicts with Anakin would not only be about his interpretation of the Jedi way, but there would be a subtext of jealousy.
The marriage, witnessed by the droids C-3PO and R2-D2, was kept secret due to Amidala's place as a prominent Senator in the Galactic Republic and because of Skywalker's membership in the Jedi Order; the Jedi Code prevented Jedi from falling in love and forming attachments such as marriage.
Their last mission together to settle a trade dispute on Naboo set events into motion that would change the galaxy forever. Obi-Wan was 25 years old when he took the rank of Jedi Knight, and with it, Anakin Skywalker as his Padawan.
