The events of Angel ended in 2004, putting Angel at age 377 when he and his team take on the Senior Partners' army.
The series focuses on Angel (David Boreanaz), an Irish vampire who is over 240 years old. Angel was known as Angelus during his rampages across Europe, but was cursed with a soul, which gave him a conscience and guilt for centuries of murder and torture.
Their sirings are all shown in flashbacks: Angel was turned in 1753, Spike in 1880, Drusilla in 1860, and Darla in 1609. Angel is 26, Drusilla is 19.
Angel is the title character on the show. He's a vampire with a soul who was originally born in Galway, Ireland in 1727 and became a vampire in 1753 as the age of 26.
To start with, Buffy is 16 years old when she embarks on her relationship with Angel, who is 241. This could probably be overlooked since Angel is a vampire, but he was turned at age 26. This means he was still 10 years older than Buffy when he ceased to be human.
Kakistos was an old vampire whose hands and feet had turned cloven. Its Greek name meant "the worst." After killing Faith's first Watcher, Kakistos sought the Slayer in Sunnydale to avenge the scarring she left on him.
Also, the last season of Angel happens after Buffy events.
Angel was born a human named Liam in Galway, Ireland in 1727 to a linen and silk merchant and his wife.
1. Spike. We know that Team Angel fans are probably screaming at their computers right now, but hear us out. There are plenty of reasons Spike was the most powerful vampire in the Buffyverse.
Darla attempted to turn Angel against the Slayer, and to bring him back to their side, but she failed, and Angel killed her.
In the hierarchy of the Order of Aurelius, Angel is the second oldest, having been sired by Darla and then himself sired Drusilla and Spike.
Angel told Buffy this at the last minute. He confessed he loved her completely, but they couldn't be together when it cost her life and the people they still needed to help against the evil forces.
Angel/Angelus
Angel lost his soul twice: first, when he slept with Buffy Summers, and again, due to a spell.
Season 3. In a seemingly impossible event, vampires Angel and Darla had a child, the end result being Connor, a human with superhuman abilities. Connor is introduced in the episode "Lullaby," when Darla sacrifices herself to give birth to him, by staking herself in the heart.
Angel kills the demon. Its blood, eventually found to be the Blood of Eternity, merges with his own, and he becomes human. Realizing what this means for their relationship, Angel spends the night with Buffy.
However, Faith Lehane (Eliza Dushku) eventually proves herself as the second most powerful Slayer after Buffy.
In the series, she met Angel (David Boreanaz), who was a 241-year-old vampire with a human soul.
Angelus terrorizes Willow and the Gang at school, emotionally tormenting Buffy. Later, as they discuss Angel's transformation in the library, Buffy realises that having sex with Angel is what caused him to turn evil. Buffy has a dream in which Angel indicates that Jenny knows more than she is letting on.
Darla's backstory is disclosed in the episode "Angel", where it is revealed that she is Angel's sire (the one who turned him into a vampire) and former longtime lover. The character appears in numerous flashback episodes, until she receives a significantly expanded role in Angel.
Canon is that Angel loves Buffy, but due to the curse on him, they cannot be together because if truly happy, he goes back to being Angelus.
The thing about Buffy's romantic love is that it never works out for her. She is powerfully drawn to Angel, and later powerfully drawn to Spike. Riley is a bit of a 'make-do' in between. But her love for Angel is destructive, and her desire for Spike even more so.
Plot. Gunn discovers a demon gang war is imminent unless the dead leader's head is recovered from Rome, so Angel and Spike travel to Rome to retrieve the head. They find out that Buffy is dating their nemesis "The Immortal".
