Tanjiro getting his hands on Tsugikuni's Nichirin sword in Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc will not only help him perform Sun Breathing Techniques effectively but will also grant him an advantage to impede the demon's regenerative ability.
Of course, the one who takes the top spot in terms of the best swords in Demon Slayer is Tanjiro's black Nichirin blade. Although Tanjiro started out as a Water Breathing user, his Nichirin sword turned black instead of blue, and that surprised him because black swords are said to indicate bad luck.
Besides sunlight, demons can only be defeated by a special blade known as a nichirin sword. Demon slayers utilize these unique blades, crafted from crimson iron sand and scarlet ore. The materials absorb sunlight, making them the only weapon that can successfully decapitate a demon.
The sword is primarily black, but it turns crimson red when the Breath of the Sun God (strongest breathing style) is used by both Tanjiro as well as Yoriichi.
So now, Tanjiro, the protagonist of the Demon Slayer series, has access to a sword that belonged to the best swordsman to have ever lived. This sword was in bad condition, but Hotaru Haganezuka took it upon himself to restore the blade to its former glory.
But if we are talking about the human form, then it's a big fat NO, because Tanjiro has just mastered the Sun Breathing whereas Yoriichi is the inventor of it, also he's way more powerful and holds an unfathomable battle intellect, larger than any Demon Slayer in history, so in conclusion, no one is remotely close to ...
Black is the most mysterious color of all the blades, and is held by the main character, Tanjiro. It is a rare blade and represents the sun; it also holds a theory that the demon slayers who own this sword are not to live a long life.
As the battle reached its climax, Tanjiro was able to knock the doll's head off and discovered that the mechanical body contained a mysterious sword. Fans of the manga will recognize this sword as the one carried by Yoriichi Tsugikuni himself.
Black blades are seen as a rarity, as demon slayers who wield them are doomed to die young. No wielder of a black sword has ever become a Hashira, either. However, this is all superstition.
Nichirin Come in Many Colors, but Black is Strongest
Blades associated with Water Breathing typically change to a blue color, for example, while that of a user of the Flame Breathing technique would turn red.
Sun Breathing is considered to be the originator of all breathing techniques, which is perhaps why it's one of the most powerful breathing techniques around. This breathing style is part of the Kamado family's legacy and is taught from generation to generation, with the father teaching the move to their son.
In an interesting turn of events, as mentioned above, Tanjiro later uses the flame handguard from Rengoku's sword on the legendary Yoriichi sword he finds during the Swordsmith Village arc.
However, the scar changed its appearance during the Final Selection when the Hand Demon gave Tanjiro a major blow to the head. The blow not only increased the size of his scar but changed its colour as well. The scar changed even more when Tanjiro fought against Gyutaro and Daki during the Entertainment District arc.
Gon is far stronger than Tanjiro, and it wouldn't be a stretch to say that Gon would defeat the demon slayer with ease. Tanjiro may be a master of water and flame breathing, but Gon's nen and raw physical powers truly pack a punch.
All these abilities are great, but none compare to the ability he was simply born with: his sense of smell. Tanjiro's sharp sense of smell has always been his strongest, albeit strangest, ability. His nose has saved his life and given him an advantage over his enemies more than any of his Demon Slayer training.
In the official Demon Slayer Wiki, Tanjiro is considered the Strongest Demon while in Demon form, and he's got all the talent and abilities to compare him to the top Hashira, so basically he's legit the top slayer or would have been if they did not disband the Pillars/ Hashira positions.
why tanjiro's head is so hard? Well, it's thanks to his genetics, as his mother, Ki Kamado, passed down the trait of a rock hard head to him. In fact, Nezuko heard a story about their mother. scaring away a boar by headbutting it, which shows that Ki was also very tough and fearless.
8) Muzan hates being called pale or dead
Muzan is the most powerful demon in the entire series, and is responsible for creating all demons. For someone who considers himself to be perfect, it is natural that he will hate being called pale or dead. This is established quite early on.
8 Tanjiro Inherits Rengoku's Fiery Sword Hilt.
Demon Slayer: The Strongest Sword in the series is coming
In the original manga, Tanjiro acquires his new Nichirin blade after defeating the life-sized battle doll known as Yoriichi Type Zero. The sword is revealed to have been concealed within the body of the doll.
Tanjiro took Rengoku's hilt after he died. Honestly I don't think Tanjiro should have been the one to have it. Tanjiro and Rengoku knew each other for a few hours before Rengoku died, other people have known Rengoku for far longer.
Towards the final arcs of the manga, Tanjiro is mortally wounded and dies during a fight with the Demon King Muzan. Though Muzan is also seriously injured, he uses the last of his powers to turn Tanjiro into a demon.
In that arc, they were at Kanoe, which is fourth from the bottom. Since Kiriya Ubuyashiki announced the disbanding of the organization, Tanjiro doesn't get the chance to become a Hashira. The series also features an extended finale set in modern-day Japan.
