Bless my parents with sound mind and good health, Grace them with a life of ease, peace of mind and absence of wrong. As they grow older please renew their strength and let them live according to your purpose and plans in Jesus name, Amen.
Dear Lord! Fill our parents with blessings; enrich their souls with Your holy grace; Fill them with wisdom; inspire them to impart it to their children. May they ever walk in the way of Your commandments, and may we their children be their joy on earth and their crown of glory in heaven.
Lord, please help me as a parent to guide my child in Your ways. Please give me the wisdom that only You can impart. Help me to see clearly through the fog of daily chaos, responsibilities, problems and joys.
Compassionate Father, who so lovingly cares about my anxiety and stress, help me to reflect that compassion to my parent(s). Let your patience guide my conversations and responses to their needs and requests. Give me wisdom to set boundaries, and peace to serve them in the ways you've called me to.
The Bible calls us to honour our parents—and one way we can do that is by praying for them. Little children often see their mothers and fathers as the ones with all the answers. It's not until we grow up that we realise our parents are just like us—regular people in need of prayer.
Through our parents we have gained physical bodies and the opportunity to prove ourselves here on earth. We have been commanded to honor our parents. We must each try to do so through living the principles of the gospel and following the example of Jesus Christ.
God gave you parents so that you would know how to relate to God. The Bible calls God our Father, and we relate to him as children. Good, godly parents prepare us to spend a lifetime worshiping God. Unfortunately, many of us do not grow up with godly parents who teach us biblical truth.
In Ephesians, God commands us to honor our parents (Ephesians 6:2). The word “honor” in this verse means “to give weight.” We honor our parents, then, when we give them weight in our hearts and lives. One tangible way we do this as grown children is by giving them weight in our prayers.
Treat them with respect
Talk kindly to them. Talk kindly about them if you can. Even if you don't agree with them, even if they do not treat you with respect, take the high road. Don't engage them in arguments and walk away if you must.
Bless my parents with sound mind and good health, Grace them with a life of ease, peace of mind and absence of wrong. As they grow older please renew their strength and let them live according to your purpose and plans in Jesus name, Amen.
It is called the "Jesus Prayer", and it consists simply in uttering the single word "Jesus" (or "Lord Jesus", or "Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me, a sinner") in any situation, at any time and place, either aloud or silently.
Father in heaven, I stand before You today in Your omnipotent presence to ask that You grant me strength. I want You to give me the strength to power through all of the tasks today — whether little or big. It is by Your will that I live oh Lord. And I know it is also by Your will I will not go weak today.
Gracious God, help us to love each other fervently. Grow our love so deep that it is able and willing to overcome and forgive a multitude of misgivings. Inspire a spirit of hospitality in each of us and enable us to cheerfully share our home . We acknowledge that you have given each of us spiritual gifts.
To pray like a child is to run, not to the police or the bank or the newscast when life's storms hit, but into the waiting embrace of your Heavenly Father. 2. Run to God when you wake.
In fact, the Scriptures are full of teachings instructing us to leave relationships with wicked or evil people, to be separate from them, to shun, outcast, and purge them from our midst. (1 Corinthians 15:33, Proverbs 13:20, Psalm 1:1, Proverbs 6:27, 1 Corinthians 5:11, 1 Corinthians 10:13 – these are just a few).
Psalm 91. V1 Whoever goes to the LORD for safety, whoever remains under the protection of the Almighty, V2 can say to him, “You are my defender and protector. You are my God; in you I trust.”
For Protection Over Your Family
I am on my knees asking for your help. Please watch over my family today when they step out the front door. Send an angel to guide them home safely and avoid any harm they may face. In Jesus' name, Amen.
1 Show positive regard for parents through words and behaviors. 2 Adult children listen to and consider a parent's biblically-informed and wise counsel. However, they are not commanded to obey their parents. 3 In the Old Testament, grown children would provide care, time, and financial support if needed.
For anyone who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death; he has cursed his father or his mother; his blood is upon him.
God charges parents with the responsibility and authority to nurture their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. For education to be truly Biblical, godly teachers must instruct children with God-honoring and life-equipping principles and materials so they become productive members of the Kingdom of God.
No matter what, the way that you honor your mother is to love her unconditionally. Love her when she's young, and love her when she's old. Love her when she has so much to give, and she keeps on giving, and giving, and giving to you the best years of her life. Everything that she has, she gives to you.
