If you are sending a text message and it does not go through or you receive an error message such as “Message Not Delivered” or “Delivery Failed” then it is likely that the person has blocked your messages.
First, when you try to send a text message to a phone number where you are blocked, the message can't deliver there. You don't also see the "delivered" or "sent" note. On the receiver end, the receiver won't see anything. As concerned as phone calls, the blocked call is diverted to voicemail.
If you send a message as a regular SMS in the green text bubble and you do not get a “Delivered” notification but instead get a notification similar to “Message not Delivered” or no message at all, that means you were probably blocked.
If someone has blocked your number on Android, unfortunately, no colour change will be visible on the text messages. You will not even know if you have been blocked by sending them texts through your Phone. All your messages will be 'Sent', but not 'Delivered' to the other person.
Just like any other mobile platform, an Android phone also allows it users to block phone numbers. Once someone blocked your number, you will not receive any phone calls or text messages from them.
Blocked text messages disappear
When someone that you've blocked texts you, their texts go nowhere. They won't receive any notification that they're blocked, and their messages will still look like they've been sent. But you won't receive any of them, and you can't respond.
Step 1: Open the Samsung Messages app on your phone. Step 2: Tap on the three-dot icon at the top and go to Settings. Step 3: Tap on 'Block numbers and spam' followed by Blocked messages. Step 4: Here, you will see the messages from the numbers that you have blocked.
A red flag that you've been blocked is when you don't see the delivery status or the read receipt at all. The message you just sent will still be in a blue bubble, but it will have no delivery status below it – not even a "Not Delivered."
Another way to know if someone blocked you on iMessage is to check the bubble color. If you see green bubbles, this means that your text messages are being sent through SMS, and they might have blocked you on iMessage.
Simply put, after you block a number, that caller can no longer reach you. Phone calls do not ring through to your phone, and text messages are not received or stored.
How to tell if someone blocked you on your Android. To start, you should make sure that your text messages and calls aren't going through to the person. If this is consistently the case, then it's possible you've been blocked.
Android users may determine if someone has blocked their number by checking notifications. If the “sent” icon changes to “delivered,” the receiver is likely not blocked you. On the other hand, if it stays on “sent,” there's a good chance they have blocked your number.
Their status appears as “unavailable” You cannot send them any messages, and if you try, you will get a message saying that the user is unavailable. If you try to call them you will hear that the number is busy or unavailable. If you search for them and get no results.
For Android devices – Go to the Messages app and look for the checkmark icon beside the message. It indicates that your message has been sent and received by its recipient. SMS Marketing platforms – If you use a third-party application for SMS marketing, there will be an option to check the status of each sent message.
Texting someone who's blocked you works as you would expect. The message sends as normal, and you don't get an error message. This is no help at all for clues. If you have an iPhone and try to send an iMessage to someone who has blocked you, it will remain blue (which means it's still an iMessage).
If your iPhone messages are green, it means they're being sent as SMS texts rather than iMessages. You'll always see green when texting Android users, or when you're not connected to the internet.
The recipient opted out of messages or blocked your number
Similarly, if a recipient blocks your phone number, your message won't be delivered. This is the likely explanation if you don't see a “Delivered” or “Read” message notification.
If an Android user blocks your iPhone, all calls will be directed to voice mail. When making a call, you expect to hear about 3-12 rings before it goes to voicemail.
What are Green Texts? If you text someone and the bubble that shows up is green instead of blue, you are using SMS or MMS messages. These kinds of text messages stand for “Short Messaging Service” and “Multimedia Messaging Service,” respectively.
Currently you don't need an external app for this, it has been a feature of Android since long time. Messages from blocked senders are deleted upon arrival so they don't even appear on your device. Go to Phone -> More -> Settings -> Call blocking -> Block list and add the number you want to block.
Perhaps the most simple is the best one: use a different phone to call the person who blocked you. Phones can't block people as there's no way for them to know who is on the other end of the line. All they can do is block specific numbers.
If the call ends after one ring (or, in some cases, half of a ring) and you are diverted to voicemail, you are either blocked or your contact's phone is dead. If the phone immediately hangs up or beeps rapidly, then either the line is busy or the contact blocked you through their carrier.
When you text a blocked number on an Android device, the message will not go through.
