Tajikistan. Beards are discouraged by the government for most men in Tajikistan in a stated effort to battle radicalism. Only clean-shaven men can apply for a passport. Beards are often forcibly shaved off by police officers.
Excluding limited exemptions for religious accommodation, the United States Army, Air Force, and Marine Corps have policies that prohibit beards on the basis of hygiene and the necessity of a good seal for chemical weapon protective masks.

In our opinion, the original ruling of shaving leg hair for both men and women is permissible. The reason for this is that there is no commandment to shave it nor is there a prohibition to keep it.
Along the lines of hygiene, Muslim men are also instructed to keep their beards at an appropriate length, which, according to Abu Huraira is a fist length. Chin scruff and light stubble do not cut it.
To wear a beard is a Sunnah. The Prophet says: “Do unlike the Jews, and spare your beards and trim your moustaches.” Scholars have explained that although the instruction is given in the form of an order, this aspect of appearance instructions should be taken as recommendations, not obligations.
Some religions (such as some sects of Islam, and Sikhism) have considered a full beard to be essential and mandate it as part of their observance.
According to the Irish Times, "a majority of Muslims" follow the view taken by modern scholars such as Yusuf al-Qaradawi that music is forbidden "only if it leads the believer into activities that are clearly defined as prohibited, such as drinking alcohol and illicit sex".

Chemical warfare and the use of gas masks meant that moustaches and facial hair in general prevented their effective use. According to the above discussion, in our opinion, touching private parts with the right hand is makruh tanzih and not prohibited. It is included in matters of manners and the restriction in the hadith is a form of guidance and education.
A beard is desirable for Muslim men and women can remove 'unnatural' facial hair but should not reshape eyebrows for reasons of vanity. The Hanafi branch of Islam, which includes the Sunni Turks, demands that every part of the body - every part!
What religions prevent you from cutting your hair? Religions such as Orthodox Judaism, Rastafarianism, and Sikhism all prohibit haircuts, the removal of facial hair, or a combination of the two due to beliefs that hair is sacred or a gift from God.

Cutting nails and shaving the pubic hair are not things that are obligatory for the fasting person in particular, but they are not things that go against fasting either. Rather the fasting person refrains from eating, drinking and having intercourse, which are things that invalidate the fast.

Hair should be kept neat and well-groomed. Hair should be no longer than 4.0 inches. Hair may not touch the ears or collar. It also cannot extend below the eyebrows.
